Will we see a Blue Mage job?

The title pretty much says it all. Will we ever see a blue mage class? I never played XI and while I have played every single FF (aside from the new ones), I really think the blue mage would be an extremely fun experience. I'm still fairly new, so i'm sorry if this is a recycled post. But it would be really fun to have a "Blue Mage Log" where you have to go get certain abilities from various creatures. I always loved the blue mage in FF regardless of the time it took to max them out and I personally would love to see it in this game.

Listen. The next available class is Ninja. Beyond that we DO NOT KNOW WHATS COMING. Very simple. You can speculate all you want. Clues would lead to an engineer/musketeer class but people thought that upon release and they blind sided them with a Ninja. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING is possible. Ten years from now I bet they'll have 10 new classes, one which could possibly or not possibly be a blue mage. There is no way to know what's coming no matter how much you love a class, that has no impact on what they bring to the game.

I hope it is mate but we've no idea. Feel free to speculate! I, personally, am looking forward to a Dark Knight or a support based class.

nope no way to balance such OP class, can u imagine a blue mage using Bad Breath in PvP?

heavy CD or cast time on heavy hitting attacks => balanced.

It's not as if bad breath was that much of a trouble at level 50 anyway ( except the alexandrite map's one)

Nah, I don't feel as thought he was being an ass. I just finally left the league of legends community. He's a puppy dog compared to them. :P Naw man, thanks for all the info. A Dark Knight would be amazing. But if you want a support class, a time mage would be amazing, like from FFV. DPS support. i would <3 it.

Bards are pretty much the current DPS Support at the moment. I would like a class that could focus on ???/Support that will utilize bar and en spells for resistances and added elemental damage for physical dps.

I'd love to see that also. I'd like to see a job that is strictly about enhancing your parties abilities to the point that your lack of true DPS is made up for the buff that you give

I think in the last live letter they clearly said they won't add a sole supporter role. So no, this won't happen anytime soon.

I believe they said they wouldn't be "Right Now" as they're happy with the Holy Trinity style but something they would implement at a later stage. I'm not quoting him word for word, just from memory.

I can't say I've heard a thing about the blue mage but the idea of it sounds fun. I never played XI and I don't know a thing about whether or not they were in there. I was also kind of curious as to how a blue mage would work in an MMO. Maybe I should use Google sometime. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new classes they'll add and even plan on trying my hand at it. The only other class that I know is confirmed is a gun-wielding class. What is it called? I haven't a clue. When will it come out? Don't know that either. I just recall Yoshi P. stating that the gun-wielding class was different than usual and not what we'd expect
