World Transfer help

I am currently on Jenova probably the worst server ever and am thinking very hard about changing servers. I have one main question is their still a gil restriction when moving servers? I see stuff from about 4-5 months ago but nothing recent and nothing in the guidelines about switching servers. Before I do switch I want to make sure that I don't lose gil if I switch servers can anyone help?

1 mill per character - 100k per retainer.

Hopefully you do not have that much, unless you do research...and buy things off
market and sell them to another place to get some money back.

No because you're paying nearly $150 for all of them to move...If you're willing to spend, I guess have friend hold some Gil and you put some cash into retainers and stuffs with your alts.
To add to my above statement...I mean I guess if you know someone who can hold some of your Gil and is transferring with
you if they got room...All of it seems like a pain in the butt so I'd play the market if I were you.

So if I make like 8 different guys and transfer them all to the same server that would be a way around it


Edit: I thought it was 18 for all guys and not just one. Jenova has too few people and too many gil buyers. For example Craftsman command 4 is sitting around 700k right now the other day it was nearly 2million. I really want to switch but dont want to lose money or friends.
