another character, same fc?

I'm thinking about getting a second character made up sometime soon. Is there a limit to a number of characters per player in a free company, or would I need to find another free company?

There is no limit to the number of alts you can place in your FC. Keep in mind the total number of members in a FC is 256 though, so having alts does count towards that total limit. I don't imagine that being a huge problem for most players though.

Actually I think the FC membership cap is 512; or maybe that's just something else about the FC I'm misremembering.

Point is, yeah, there's no limitation on multiple characters from one account in one FC, and frankly if there's any FCs out there that even are coming close to the 512 person limit I'll be surprised.

Ok, thanks, shouldn't be a problem with the fc my character is in, which is among the smallest active groups in the game

the cap is 512. the only thing to take into considration with alts is are you going to be playing them equally and allowing them both to be built up, because a lot of people do it and one suffers because people dont play it very much.

Ok, cool. I may create a female miqote character when I can. I'll stick with Limsa Lominsa to start with, and ACN as the primary skill

When I was last on, I got my character to take up crafting classes in Gridania and Ul'dah, as well as selling various items through the retainer (Zarraneia), I thought it would be handy to have items maintained beyond 100%

One more thing, away from the game, it'll be my 30th on August 13th, and my character will return soon
