Low Level Dungeons: Speedrunning is not cool with lowbies in the party.

Having recently resubbed after a break, and luring a friend of mine into playing the game with me, I decided to level a GLA. Since I already have a WHM it'd be a fast transition into a PLD once I hit 30. The fun thing is that I couldn't remember a dang thing about the low-level dungeons, and my friend's a newbie like said, so we've ended up basically always doing full clears - both for my sake and for my friend's sake (he's a BRD though).

We've been quite fortunate so far, even with synced level 50s no one has really complained about taking the long way around - most people just tend to go with the flow/wherever the tank goes. I'm dreading the last story dungeons though, will probably have to make our own parties for those so my friend won't have the same experience I had.

It's probably different for me since I'm running the dungeons on a pre-50, but I agree with what Niwashi said: "Whenever you've got a mix of players with different goals, you need to go for the run that meets all their needs." I feel the same if I'm running lower level dungeons on my WHM, I don't mind doing it all. I prefer new players/first-timers to experience the whole of it.
