While I'm not a tank, whenever I did low level dungeons through roulette or animus books, I always explained the mechanics to any new players to the dungeon. Players who are happy to play with you and are willing to listen will make the runs go by much faster than you forcing them to brute force the place and then you get pissed at them when they don't live up to your expectations.

Joined Story Roulette, got a group with 3 new people on Praetorium.

The idiots in the dungeon just doing it for the myth reward ran ahead, disregarding the new people and not bothering to answer questions as to why specific things were being done. I had to shepherd them along, and we got locked out of the Iron Giant boss because of this. The new people asked the group to let them watch cutscenes before bosses, but only one replied saying they didn't care and they only wanted their myth reward.

The group then voted to kick me and the majority won, so I was tossed out. I hit up Duty Finder in progress, and ended up in the same Praetorium. I found the 3 new people at the Magitek Armour, lost as to how you get into it, so I took them back down the lift and showed them.

By the time I got them in their suits and walked them to the cermet door, we'd been locked out of the Nero fight. I was then kicked again.

tl;dr Stop the skipping of cutscenes in Story Roulette.

I'm not saying you have to deal with it, but you sort of do. You are getting paired up with 7 other people with their own motives. When you join say you are new, and if they can do a full clear or let you watch cutscenes. Only massive dicks will be in that big of a hurry that they can't let you watch them. If they won't ask to be vote dismissed so you don't incur timers, requeue and try again. Other options are PF or asking your FC. Don't need a full party just the majority. Then you can be in control.

As far as SR in low level dungeons, its usually a matter of asking. Some lowbies they are just in there because they need it for a quest and could give less of a shit. They just want to get it done, so they can continue on with the story or whatever. Some are running for the XP, others gear. If no one specifically makes a request of me, I will skip what I can. If I see someone is new to that dungeon, I will ask them how they would like to proceed and let the group majority decide.

Player A probably wants to kill everything and get the chests. Player B just wants to get to the end. I'd regard both as equally "legitimate" and worth respecting.
Yes, both are legitimate goals. But one style of completing the dungeon fulfills both of them, while another only fulfills one. Whenever you've got a mix of players with different goals, you need to go for the run that meets all their needs.

No it doesn't. You only get the completion bonus once, and going faster doesn't get any more of it. The difference in EXP/HR lies solely in how much of that hour your grinding is taking place in the dungeon versus how much is taking place while you're not in the dungeon, and the EXP levels are nowhere near the same. While on Roulette, you can get more XP from a level 15 mob in Sastasha that dies in a couple seconds (and is surrounded by several others that go down just as fast) than you can from a level 38 mob in the open world that takes a couple minutes to reach and then kill. (Based on a class in the mid 30's, which was the last time I actually compared them, but it seems to hold true pretty consistently at all levels.) Dungeon XP > Open-world XP. Nobody looking for XP should be willing to forego any part of the dungeon in order to get back to the open world content quicker. That's just giving up lots of fast XP for a lesser amount of much slower XP.
