I totally agree with this. The Hunt system is not working at all. It makes all other content worthless. Square did already made two fixes to the hunt (afaik) wich were both totally a slap into the face. I really hope that they overthink the whole hunting system and rework on it. Wasnt it called that Hunts should be a dangerous content for open world? Ya, nuking down all hunts between 5 (B) and 30 (S) seconds is really dangerous. Maybe dangerous enough to kill a overheating ps3. And what did they do to make the hunt better? Increasing the amount of health, so B-ranks can now life for 10 seconds instead of 5.Coil queues are dead.
Duty Find Queues are dead.
Doing Atma/Animus Book for dungeon, the Queue for them are dead.
Small loading is dead. Now its a long long loading with ppl zerking on a single map for a single Mark.
Helping New Leaf players in the game is hard to find a Queue of the class for them is also dead.
Force of luck on Roulette to get the dungeon.
Force to ask FC for a dungeon run.
Coil 6-7 looks pointless besides Gear but Queue is dead.

Edit: Ah, i have one more thing. It is totally RIDICULOUS that you can buy full itemlevel 90 stuff almost for free with hunts. You dont even have to do anything for it. Just land 1-2 hits on a hunting mob, get your 30 seals and buy a ilvl90 piece.
So new level 50 players will be instant ilvl 90. ARMOR is then Level 90, but SKILL is still around 50. HOW can this ever work.

The oils/sands will hand-out to you 20x-50x faster than hunts in 2.4,and the patch is coming in two months.
and the ilv will increase to a whooping 120-135
so why do hunts now?because you want to finish the roulette 10% faster?

The SAME way it worked before Hunts, when they joined DL for Titan, got knocked out of the arena and got carried for all the fight. Free 100 myth and relic for everyone! WOWOWOWOW!
Sorry to break it for you, but you were never hardcore, BLM that FATE-Grinded to 50 and still spam fire-fire-ice-ice in Brayflox! The same goes for you, DRG who fell during titan and got carried by DL ppl! And you, PLD who DF turn 2 and AFK'ed all the fight!

In a positive way this is good, back in 2.0 people were whining and complaining, shunning players for walking into DF and groups with horrible gear, now that ilvl 90 is easy to get NOW people complain that it's to easy? i would think people would be glad that your group isn't being draged down by someone in ilvl 56 sets.
As far as skill goes, that can't be taught, if someone is a good player they will be a GOOD player, gear does not change the skill. Hell a friend taught me all tricks of playing whm and he was clearing coil turns back in 2.0 with his body being ilvl 60 for a while and on PS3. (rest of his gear was on par tho) You don't magically become good or bad just because of gear.
I had a Paladin in a CM run I did the other day that was in a full set of Valour gear for his first run.There was a guy decked out in unweathered noct gear who had never done CT before in a run I did. It was a...awkward realization what hunts were doing. It sort of sucks out the drive that people are getting stuff like this far easier than what was originally thought to be a challenge in comparison.
I seriously did a double-take when he said he was the newbie.
Havn't seen any noticeable difference in que times from pre hunts to the present, still get 5-10 min ques as MNK for roulettes,
So much over-reaction. How are those people effecting your endgame? All current endgame is blocked out by requirement of beating previous content. Those players cannot just up and enter second coil. the hunt is not forcing bad players into endgame, that is bogus. Those players are not effecting you at all outside of you treating ilvl like it is some kind of competition. Want to keep them out of your parties? Look for high allagan instead of soldiery gear. There are plenty of issues with hunts, but this is reaching.
The whole point of the Hunts is to go out and look for the Marks. If all you do is sit in town, wait for someone to tell you where it is, teleport there, kill it, and teleport back to town, then yeah you won't notice any difference. The zones are constantly full of people scouring every inch of the area now looking for Marks to pop, but you would never know this if you aren't one of the Hunters out there searching every crevice for a Mark.
The whole point of hunts is to get Sands/Oil of Time. Because it's quicker, easier and faster than doing the content you're supposed to get it from. Whatever their intended point was, that's pretty much the point now.
