Yes, that's hunts fault. Not echo, DL carries or level 100 items from vendors. Riiiiight.
Before hunts everyone knew how to play their classes. I swear.

So, we have had 5 end game item levels since launch, Ilvl70 (darklight), Ilvl80 (CT), Ilvl90 and now Ilvl100 and Ilvl110 in around a year. Although I praise SE for giving us frequent updates, perhaps the frequency of Ilvl updates has created this problem. SE is hell bent on having gear upgrades available to everyone before the next major patch, which is great for those casual or fresh 50 players. The problem is the frequency.
So lets say that 50% of the player base has cleared T9. There is a limited number of oils and sands that drop in SCOB, plus a weekly lockout, so to expect all the player base to have all the current Ilvl110 gear by 2.4 is unreasonable at best and that is for those who have or can actually clear SCOB.
The only expeditious way to get this done was by doing the hunt system or something equivalent. SE always seems to be scrambling to level the playing field so everyone can enjoy the new content. On one hand I think this is a lofty idea on the other it is a self perpetuating nightmare. If they cannot create content that can be cleared by at least 90% of the player base before the next major, Ilvl raising release, then we will always have this scenario.
They can do one of 2 things, IMO. Make end game face roll easy or slow down the gear progression. They cannot keep this pace in perpetuity without seriously degrading the game and the erosion has already begun.
I have no prayer for that...

It's the issue with vertical progression. Only way to progress is increase the magical ilvl. It's why a lot of people are asking for SE to go more horizontal progression and introduce better stat customization to make our jobs better rather than just doing a base stat increase every update. Heck they can begin by letting people meld their dungeon/trial/raid gear.
However due to the simplicity of the stat system as well as our jobs, I don't see any major changes happening until maybe the expansion.

Dude, you're a dramaqueen. Stop overreaction over people's responses. Caelie, for example, didn't state that these problems are because of the hunting ALONE, but it implies that it contributes to an already existing "problem". If you love hunts, and you think they're perfectly balanced, FEAR NOT, this thread won't change that aspect of the game. I only trust the devs could see this as a future reference for the next patch.

Please, it's horseshit and you know it. People who don't know how to play their job were created by the whole game system that carried you to 50, echo buff, level 100 gears handled from vendors, myth ilevel 90 gears handled from vendors. Hunts didn't change shit.
This is the fanbase that though Pharos Sirius was HARD.

No, you're right? This was just the final nail in the coffin. For me, anyway. I'm sorry I didn't go into entire detail on every little thing. The game was easy enough as is, but now people don't even have to step into roulettes to be carried to get their gear. They can get it just by running around on the map and hitting an enemy over and over. Please, it's horseshit and you know it.
