The whole point of the Hunts is to go out and look for the Marks. If all you do is sit in town, wait for someone to tell you where it is, teleport there, kill it, and teleport back to town, then yeah you won't notice any difference. The zones are constantly full of people scouring every inch of the area now looking for Marks to pop, but you would never know this if you aren't one of the Hunters out there searching every crevice for a Mark.
