I'm confident that this will resolve itself in time, when more people get most of the hunt rewards they were after.

The problem with hunts are the myth and soldiery rewards. Why run dungeons when I can just do a couple hunts and have myself capped in 1/4th of the time it takes to run multiple dungeons? The Blood Splattered Logs are a fair enough grind, but the other rewards are just overkill. It just kills every other type of content that gives myth and sol.
In my experience this couldn't be farther from the truth
Queued as DPS for Brayflox/Copperbell Hard/Wanderer's Palace last night, and each wait didn't last longer than ten minutes (which has always been about average for those kind of queues). Unfortunately I have Qarn on my next set, and that one (before hunts were implemented) took me around 30 minutes to queue for. Probably going to have to get my FC to help with that one.
The only others I've noticed an extra long queue for were GEX/TEX/IEX. I imagine once people get what they need out of hunts in a few weeks, the duty finder will be back to normal.
What I'm trying to say is chill out. Get stuff accomplished with you FC. If they aren't willing throw some shouts out or use the party finder.
Again... Buff those rewards elsewhere. The problem with hunts are the myth and soldiery rewards. When they announced that they were increasing dungeon myth rewards in the last update, I thought, "OK... Maybe this'll be enough for me to begrudgingly go back to grinding what I need for the animus books."
Then I saw they merely went from 50-70 per run and decided "**** that. I'll just stick with my old Darklight and ATMA."
While I don't massively care about boosting my iLvl since I find the progression/gear system uninteresting in this game, hunts mean that it is at least something I can have happen over time.
Remove the myth and soldiery though, and I'll be staying where I am pretty well indefinitely.
I wonder about that to be honest. Hunts are still the best way to get myth and sol. You get i90 gear easily for your alts, i100 and oil for your main. What's there left to get?
Well for the people who are able to do (and doing) second coil don't think hunts change much of the life. At least it doesn't change anything much for me. The only change for me is that now I can actually gear up not depending on RNG drop in coil (my party is srsly getting the same stuff over and over again - took us ~2 months to finally see a melee jewlery drop and similar). And since i haven't beat t9 yet that means 1 sand, 1 oil per week for the whole party, which is quite ridiculous taking into account the duplicate gear drops every week.
So I'm relatively happy that i can do a hunt 1 or 2 evenings per week to get few ilvl110 items. Other than than - all the ppl who don't know what they are doing will have (or already have) 110 iLVL but that is the same thing as at the end of patch 2.1 everyone had iLVL90. But truly this gives players who are not doing end-game content to level up. People who want to do something else will do something else.
Furthermore it is a nice myth boost for all the things that one needs to do now - Animus books, Novus alex. Because they need to have players catching up on that because most probably they will soon introduce next stage for it and so they need to make previous stages essayer and faster (esp. for the new ppl).
Nobody is actually bothered by the fact that they're letting the hunt stay as it is, it makes it look like they're essentially making it a one time gameplay system? They've said it before that they're putting myth gear into the hunts rewards because eventually they'll stop handing out myth, turning soldiery into myth tier, just like what happened to philo. Next patch they'll be introducing i90 items into 4 man dungeons and i100 soldiery will become the new unlimited gear. Allied marks will become less desirable, there will be no need for myth gear anymore, they'll become glamour, elite gc gear is only and glamour tier, the only things left progression wise would be alexandrite and logs. The entire hunts system will become practically obsolete in /1/ update patch if nothing stronger is added into it. Yet, by adding stronger items into it without changing the system, will only perpetuate the horribleness we're already having.
I mean, for levelling, we at first had msq, sidequests, leve quests, fates, hunting logs. Then they added challenge logs and daily roulettes as a permanent addition. I'm pretty sure when people asked for an open world post 50 content, they were asking for a permanent activity on top of daily roulettes, weekly CT, weekly coil, etc. Likely not the one that works like this too.
