Hunts are new and shiny, all that you listed isn't. It happens every time something new is added. The only difference here is more people can do hunts because it doesn't require unlocking anything or being good at them. Have you thought of making your own PF for things, if you're not already? You might be, I don't know. Majority of people who complain the game is dead for X reason usually sit around waiting for PFs to join, so just trying to nip that one in the bud early.
