Thanks for the infoThe same infographics that has been posted doesn't mention prince in Japanese or French (though it does in German). Until we get more informations than ONE picture about it that doesn't even say the same thing in half the language,
I'll finish with the fact that there's a "prince" in japanese that is only a nobility title and doesn't relate to a royal/imperial family.![]()
Two things that hopefully add to the discussion: (in the Lalafell Naming Conventions thread)
and that sultanates have another set of words for princes, being (from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sultan )Originally Posted by Gildrein
Fun Fact: Members of the Ul'dah and Sil'dih royal families also bear the names of their respective sultanates.
"Royal Prince : Shahzada, Mirza, Emir
Noble Prince : Mirza, Sahibzada"
an extension is "Nobleman: Nawab, Baig".
I feel as though they wouldn't shy away from calling him Mirza* Teledji Ul Adeledji if he truly was in line for the Ul throne.

Ed: And considering how patriarchy-centric Muslim and Middle-Eastern society is as a whole, he probably would have been first in line regardless of which of them were older (if siblings)

Nanamo's role in the future will be the same role she had in the past:
"I will not hide while my people suffer!" - The Sultana's Seven
She'll get stuck between a rock and a hard place and rally her people with success and disappointment.
As for something more plot related, I would wager Lolorito and Teledji are waging war in the background. The bit of information that Teledji was after Omega weapon strikes me as planted by Lolorito, both to slow Teledji and divert attention from himself. Whenever one of the two strike, Nanamo will have to rise to the occasion.
To add the Teledji discussion, I doubt he is Nanamo's brother. There has been no interaction between the two to suggest a hint of intimacy.

Maybe senpai will finally notice me.
Honestly I'm more surprised right now that the discussion currently going on is not about whether or not we will see Godbert Manderville suplex people as part of the main questline.
I want to see more Godbert Limit Suplex.
Also you know the only reason he was in those robes in the cutscenes was because the Syndicate couldn't stand the glory of the booty shorts.
Since this involves information from Patch 2.4, I'll leave my thoughts inside spoiler tages for now.
I believe Nanamo is about to make a spectacularly ill-advised decision to abdicate the throne.
She may believe that turning Ul'dah into a republic would help return power to the people, but I suspect she'll just be playing into the hands of Teledji Adeledji, who has been plotting revolution for some time.
And what would revolution be, if not the abolishment of the monarchy?
It's important to know that a republic does not necessarily become a democracy. It's just a political entity that isn't ruled by a hereditary monarch.
Sure, the Syndicate, being an organ of the monarchy, would lose its legitimacy once Nanamo steps down, but that doesn't mean that its members would lose their political power as a result. In Ul'dah, money is power, and the erstwhile members of the Syndicate could easily spend their way to election victory.
And that's assuming that an election would be held. Chances are, even if one is organised, it would not be anywhere near universal sufferage. More likely than not, only native Ul'dahns of sufficient wealth would qualify to vote.
Ul'dah would just end up staying an oligarchy, except under a different leader.
Nanamo needs a serious lesson from Merlwyb on the need for, and uses of, power.
Ul'dah is not gonna become a republic, this would change all. The tree rank positions, welth all. Is like changing the game. Also the phases of those of the city-states are their leaders. Is like saing that ifrit is one of the primals but that at the end he become something else xD . Some thing will happen, something will force Nanamo to keep being the sultane. We will just have to wait on 2,5 and see what happens
Reading back all this stuff from August has been amusing. We have our answer about Teledji Adeledji - "Even if you went back generations, he would have no relation to Nanamo." -MCKF. So I guess that would make him merely a Robber Baron after all. Now I need to finish main scenario so I know what the heck is going on...
