Tomestome gear might be upgradeable outside final coil

...in 2.5, try to digest that now and save yourself some time, don't get angry if/when it happens.

Though an actual feedback, I hope they add it only to the third CT instance, keep that thing away from the hunts or put some strong limits if you will add them to the allied seal shop.

Odds are they will release the upgrade items in CT3, and add them to allied seals. But for 2.4 it will be final coil only.

I'm genuinely curious how they plan on keeping Hunts relevant, right now they're essentially a gear cash cow, but 110 gear will quickly become inferior. Other than minions and vanity gear there isn't much reason to do them aside from getting sands/oils. Good for alt classes i suppose.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, based on what we saw in 2.2 and 2.3, but I'm already expecting people to get angry when gear with the same ilvl as coil gear becomes available to peasants again.

Well, if they unlock ST right as 2.4 lands I hardly see a reason to hunt anymore, other than getting soldiery, and that's assuming dungeons don't outshine it.

Does there need to be a reason to keep hunts going as they are now? Hunts were never intended to be a zerg fest "gear pinata". Going into 2.4 hunts are still a great way to > rapidly < jump from fresh lv 50 to i90, the item level critical for all current primals and coil 2. With less hunting in general, hung marks will actual be alive longer than 30 second and players that actually need them can still get them. also since myth tomes are being converted to soldiery which means hunt marks will be giving i100 gear (possibly) in addition to crafting mats.

    Tldr hunts are still relevant

I would not mind if hunt activity took a nosedive. Hunts are a lot funner when they don't die in twenty seconds.

So true, I love the mechanics of certain S ranks, but we only get to fully experience them when they spawn while most of the zerg is asleep. Like Mahisha actually wiping all hunters (I've seen it at least twice now) and people being forced to pay attention to damage reflect with Agrippa, or even a simple A rank like Marraco wiping a small group if they are careless about swinge / lion's breath.

Hunts would of been great fun to do if they were implemented in a way where there was not 100+ ppl beating on them. Several might actually be a little challenging for a single party or 2.

Honestly most the blame is to the community. The community treated them like fates, waiting to pull for everyone to gather from the server. So the community gets 60% of the blame. The devs get 40% for making the prior mentioned possible.

We need large scale open world stuff. Fates are horrible, Hunts were a step in the right direction but the zerg element needs to be removed.

You can't really blame the community at all. Bottom line is, the rewards for The Hunt were just too good to pass up. Of course everyone on the server would want to do these.

i110 is still going to be valuable for quite a while so long as the gear of i120+ is locked behind Final Coil and a capped Tomestone. I'd also expect it'll be plenty to get into everything introduced in 2.4, Final Coil included. Maybe not a Savage Final Coil if there'll be one, but otherwise.

That said, past that I've no doubt that Hunts will still be a fantastic way to gear up to that point quickly and hit your weekly New Allagan Tomestone of _______ cap ; I know quite a few people for whom their primary reason for hunting is how quickly they can cap for the week.
