    [Bug? Suggestion & Feedback] Weather Effects

    Are any of the Audio settings suppose to reduce the sound of weather effects? The volume of a sand storm is deafening. I can only turn down my computer volume so much because I want to hear the sound effects and or music. But I have not found a way to turn them off in game, and that should be an option. Or at least a way to turn down the volume. I am not sure if this is a bug or not but I thought I would mention it.

    Yup , mention it ! Why not doing like ffxi ? weather effect "active" or "disactive" . Lol it's very simple , dunno why SE haven't introduce this .

    I'm necroing this because its still a horrid issue. In order to play FFXIV, I have to mute it in the Windows 7 audio mixer.

    In the future they should add a ambient sound volume slider or tie it into one of the other sound categories.

    For now I recommend leaving all volume at near max in the in game configuration setting but using Windows 7 or Windows Vista's Audio Mixer to place XIV at a volume that is comfortable since adjusting the volume in game will only result in the music, sound effects and the menu sounds getting quieter while the ambient sounds remain the same volume.

    I usually find about 20% is reasonable personally.
