    That is besides the point, OP still has a legitimate question whether this is a bug or not.

    As far as I know only the first person would be penalized unless they ninja changed something.

    I've always left (instead of voting to abandon) when we're on 3 person in a dungeon/trial.

    It was not supposed to penalty you for that and I'm pretty sure SE would have warned us if anything changed about penalties.

    I think it happened as someone stated before, another healer must have joined in the very same moment u left.
