Active Linkshells?

My friends and I played for about 90 days, and recently the free weekend made several of us realize how much we had missed this game. I have no interest in jumping to a different Free Company, with the hopes of some more of my longtime guildies coming back to the game. That said I would love to get more involved with the server community as a whole. Are there any really active linkshells that either have a general community focus or for pulling together large activities?

I've so far found pretty scant information about potential linkshells.

I posted a thread about this kind of thing a few days ago and got zero response. Thinking on it, I may have written to heavy handedly regarding community idealization and perhaps a bit too much focus on 'content' as it were. But, the fact remains that I am very interested in a community based linkshell for all manner of activities. At least... a cross FC linkshell that wasn't dead unless people were hunting would be tops. ha

Back at the re-release I created a LS on Famfrit called Flotilla. Flotilla means many small boats formed together to create a large fleet. The idea was to link many small FCs together by having a couple of members as representatives of their FC, these FCs generally formed of players who prefer friendly close knit groups, who would assist in filling raid spots for activities started through Flotilla LS and to identify who the leader types were that could promote the LS.

Unfortunately RL happened and I had to abandon FF14 entirely. But I turned control over to a friend who says its alive and well and still serving the Famfrit community.

I came to Cactuar after a long hiatus to get a fresh start, but if there is anything I miss the most it was the wonderful experience of Flotilla LS. I would love to start one here on Cactuar if I can drum up interest and if I can get some folks behind it that will have faith and patience as it is built to its full potential.

Definitely sounds like something I could get behind. I even dig the name. ^^ Is your character name on cactuar Helo Io as well? At any rate, feel free to chat me up on the subject and we can see what we can do to drum up some shell mates.
