No, earn your right to wear it.PvP Player Rank, PvP grand company Rank.
Allow to Glamour PvP gear even if not equipable.
One of the biggest fails of all of this "GC exclusive" PvP Rank, besides it takes forever to level, is that PvP gear is not usable right away and can`t be even glamoured, this just make players to leave the PvP instances after a few tries, reducing the number of players on the Frontlines and the Wolf`s Den.
With Frontlines now its a giveaway anyways.

Besides which, glamours don't work if you fail to meet all of the criteria for equipping the original piece. I can't use an Adders GC coat glamour because I'm with Maelstrom. I can't use DRG af as a glamour on my DRG's other gear because it's only level 39.
That's simply the rules of glamouring.

That "earn your right" mentality is what keeps both, wolf`s den and frontlines empty. If gear was more accesible much more people will participate, more competitive it will become and the whole experience would be far better. Being like this it only makes new people to not keep going because fixed matchers already have their gear and they don`t feel this to be fair. Less counting that changing GC means a stop and a stepback in progression.
PvP is to be competitive and fun, not to for a exclusive group of people doing fixed matches to brag about their "earned rights" over gear.

If I can share my opinion on this, I know for a fact that I grinded ranking for hours and hours in Frontlines and achieved Rank40 my PvP gear fairly. I also know this is the case for several other friends and individuals who put in the effort and earned their PvP gear to glamour it. Unfortunately in the past, there may have been some individuals who wintraded for it, but there is also a large group of people who played fairly and put the time in to equip it.That "earn your right" mentality is what keeps both, wolf`s den and frontlines empty. I also noticed you are on Cactuar and the same datacenter as I am so I know for a fact that Frontlines queues for us are not bad at all during primetime. By giving it a couple weeks, you or anyone could achieve a high ranking.

You dont need PvP gear to play frontlines. There is absolutely 0 filters keeping people out of frontlines except PvP rank for skills. That "earn your right" mentality is what keeps both, wolf`s den and frontlines empty. I think the post above me sums it up
Uh, yes it does? You are complaining because of 'gear' making FL inaccessible, yet it is more than accessible for everyone who wants to do it.

That is the issue. Who wants. If you ask, thats a minimal part of the population because of the grindness of the whole thing. Which has nothing to do with skills or performance at all but time investment.
This is PvP, rewards should be for good teams, not people who spends 2 months losing. The ammount of grind in PvP is killing it. Reducing it and releasing it from really bad choices like having 3 independent PvP ranks will only help. This is by far the most grind PvP content in a MMORPG atm. A terrible thing for any serious PvP in any serious MMORPG.
Add this to the list for WD: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-in-Wolves-Den
Not sure if this qualifies as a job/class specific request but a rangefinder for player frames that grays out party and alliance members if they are more than 30 yalms away from you. for classes that buff/heal/assist other classes, its annoying as hell to go cast something on friendly players only to get an error that they are out of range. its especially troublesome if using macros because the buff/heal will cast on yourself. and even a few times I've seen Eos try to fly across the map to heal an out of range player and then she just despawns since they are too far.
