question... so someone randomly used my code because i got an email saying so. Is there anyway i can figure out who it was because would be a shame for them to get to oh say 89 days and decide that this games no fun because they haven't experienced the comradery :P

Nope, not unless they come forward and say "hey, I used your code!" But then again, anyone could do that whether they used it or not so ... *Shrug*

I stopped offering free crafting for this very reason. I had 10 different people walk up to me saying they used my code in the first 3 days of my posting my first code. Only one person could have used it and I don't think it was any of them to be honest. None of them were alts of the others either. Sad that it came to that really...
