How do I craft?

I just got back into the game and other than fighting or casting, I can't seem to do any trade levs? I have leveled Alchemy on a character a few years back but when I equip the item needed to swap classes and setup a gear set, what do I then need to do for those crafting quests?

Is there some kind of button I hit? I have two quests now but I still have not figured out how to get to the crafting part and do it.

Open up your crafting log and select an item in order to craft it. Then use your abilities to make progress (needed to actually make the item) or quality (Needed for high-quality results) while keeping durability up (If it hits 0, it's game over. Unless your final action gets you the last progress you need)
