Sea Hares Missing From Halfstone?

Steps:
My key item book (Book of Skyfall I) for the "Trial of the Braves" animus weapon quest asks me to kill 10 sea wasps in Halfstone, in Western La Noscea. I went to where I remembered seeing them on many occasions in the past, however for some reason today I didn't see any at all. I wandered around all of Halfstone for some time and didn't see any. I'm 90% sure I remember being chased by them in the past at around the position listed above, so I've decided to post this as a bug (not to mention the fact that it's preventing me from progressing in my quest).

Also, this may be my imagination due to the lack of sea wasps in the area, but I think there might be more Water Sprites than usual in the area. Maybe the sea wasps got replaced by the sprites somehow? Hard to say for sure.
