Can't Switch to Entry Subscription from Standard

I looked all over the web and have yet to find an answer for this. I purchased FFXIV about a month ago via Steam during the Steam Summer Sale. It came with 30 days free. Well my 30 days were about up so I went ahead and payed for another 30 days using my Steam Wallet. I vaguely remember setting up my account on the Mog Station so maybe I missed something during the setup. I've read that you can switch to Entry Subscription from a Standard Subscription, but I haven't been able to find out how. Do I have to wait until my current subscription runs out? Do I have to cancel the subscription before I can select Entry Subscription when I go to renew? I only have and will only have one character on one server so if I can save a few bucks a month it'd be nice.

Here's what happens: I go to Account Services on the Mog Station and click "Proceed to Payment." Then I click "Subscription Payment: Steam Wallet." Then it brings me to a screen that says, "Select Subscription Type and Period." But when I scroll down, the only subscription I have to select is Standard. No, Entry isn't greyed out or anything, it's simply non-existent. I can select between 30, 90, & 180 days, but not the type of subscription.

At first I thought, maybe it's because I got the game through Steam or maybe it's because it was on sale so they want to make their money back by not allowing me to select the Entry Subscription. Then I asked a friend who had also purchased FFXIV on Steam, and he said it gives him the option to choose between subscription types.

I have no idea what's going on here or what I'm missing. If anyone could give me a reason why it's not there or show me how to get to it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hm. Not a steam user, but I definitely have been able to switch between standard and entry sub (I thought I was going to have an alt one month, that did not last too long so I dropped back down to entry)
You might want to open a ticket or contact their support during business hours. You can talk to a GM through their support center and they might be able to help you resolve the issue.

So basically I just waited until my subscription ended. When I went to renew the option for Entry was available. Square Support told me to try it with Steam closed and in a different browser. Like that'd make a difference. If this happens to anyone else, just wait for your subscription to end.

All you do is cancel your auto renewal through the Mog Station (sqex.to/Msp). This can be done under "Account Services". Once it has been cancelled, just add a subscription again under Entry level. Not that hard, man

Also, make sure there's only one character (per server? don't fully remember) on your account.

When you switch over, it's only 1 character per server, make sure that the last character you logged in with is the one you want to use. Otherwise you'll have to keep deleting them until you get the one you want. You'd have to upgrade back to Standard otherwise.
