    Found where i read all this it's from live letter 9.

    Q: Regarding Odin and Behemoth FATE Congestion, Display Issues, and Server Crashes
    A: In order to avoid CPU stress when a large amount of people gather together, fields are rendered using 8 meter grids. Furthermore, these grids are not focused around your character, but rather the areas of the zone.

    In a single grid, a maximum of 100 characters will be displayed. Since NPCs and monsters have display priority, the monsters themselves do not actually disappear, but once more than 100 players enter a grid, certain characters are no longer displayed. The system was set up to hide objects from other grids, so even if hundreds of characters gather, stress is not placed on your PC.

    However, there is one problem. If, for example, Behemoth is in a certain grid, and the amount of characters in that grid exceeds 100, no matter what happens he will always be displayed within that grid. However, there is no display priority for adjacent grids. In short, if you're not positioned in the same grid as Behemoth, you won't be able to see him when the area is crowded with hundreds of players. If you move to the grid where Behemoth is located he will always be displayed, but once he moves to a different grid he will disappear again.
    He went on to say how they were going to make the system check area which i think they did for odin and behemoth but not for the hunt mobs now that i re-read it. But that's how it all works strait from Yoshi P's mouth.

    Since the rest of the game -doesn't- suck, no, I don't. The reason hundreds of players want to do this is because it's the only source of Sands of Time outside of Second Coil, which >90% of the playerbase cannot even set foot into at present.

    There wouldn't be problems with hunts if people could learn to pace themselves instead of trying to get everything in shortest time possible at the cost of burning out, lack of enjoyment, etc.
    From 2.3 day we have at least 3 months before next patch... That's plenty of time to obtain sands and oils and there's likely going to be more ways of obtaining them before 2.4 hits.

    I can't really argue with that. I can attest from personal experience that hunting without the zergfest running around (i.e. go on off-peak hours, be in a party of active searchers, optionally have one or more members hooked into an LS of people who are also actively searching) that when the hunt mobs live more than ten seconds they're a fun little challenge (B less so, admittedly). Ghede Ti in particular hits like a Mack truck made out of atom bombs, and the other day I discovered to my surprise and rather lethal detriment that Marraco not only has both of Chudo-Yudo's attacks, but when he uses The Lion's Breath he'll often spin around and point it at whoever he feels like! It really does feel like the Hunt system on its own is not particularly bad, but only becomes a painful experience when 90% of the server are trying all at once to get the too-easily-obtained shinies.

    Another big problem is also spawn location as in The Mines in Outer La Noscea. Yesterday, the S Rank Hunt spawned in the Mine and inside one of the small tunnels. It took about a half hour of resetting to try and pull the damn thing outside to a wide area, before I gave up and went to bed. We couldn't see and kept running in to and dying. Getting raised over and over. All the humanity lying dead on the ground. It was ridiculous. Please change it so that the large Hunts don't spawn in super tight spaces. The one time I managed to see it, his head was the only thing visible, because his body was through a wall. Impossibly stupid.

    Despite all that, S rank still getting unrendered most of the time when already engaged. And even if it's rendered, it can go unrendered again and lose my targetting on it, forcing players to use AOE-base skills to hopefully score more damage.

    I haven't see this problem occured on A or B ranks. Maybe the enormous size of S ranks are the culprit here?

    Oh yes. Forgot about that one.
    Presumably they already have made sure that it can't show up in the room only accessible from daily beast tribe quests, so it should also be easy for them to make sure it won't show up in the tunnels, but only in the rooms if in the caves at all.

    I saw Mahisha's head clipping through the wall once. I couldn't even make it to the room he was in. Some friends of mine on ps3's had their systems freeze up and crash.
    (I took these while dead btw. May as well find SOMETHING to do since I can't fight the damn thing.)
