T.T Where is the Summer event ?

The last summer event didn't start until September 10thish. Expect SE to
run summer events in august. It will probably be like that in the future.
The year before that it began on the 30th of July. So we're just now getting
to when they start to do them. No worries!

No problems here.. with the terrible weather we're having here in Italy, Summer is not even close.

That's spring for Northern hemisphere. Summer is June-August, it also could be for the Summer festival in Japan which is at the end of Summer.

Japan, I believe, also considers summer to start when the hot rainy season ends. So it's not really summer until the rain stops.

And yes in the old Japanese calendar, summer was from early May to early August.

Oh, okay. I thought the Japanese summer season ended when monsoon season started, but it's the other way around! o:

Summer starts at different times in different parts of the world. This is an Asian MMO, where summer starts in September.

Yup im speculating that the "Bombard" furnitures on the marketwards that was recently added have nothing to do with the upcoming summer event.

Am I missing something here? I didn't say anything about furniture, was just speculating when the event was going to take place like everyone else.

Are you "summer starts at a different time in Japan" people trolling? I can't decide They are in the same hemisphere as Europe and America, so their summer is the same as ours. Its currently super hot and humid there, you know -- summer.

That said, it _would_ make sense for them to start an event in mid/late August depending on what they really mean by "summer event". Bon Matsuri is generally celebrated in mid August (mid July in some parts), for example, and is a big festival. Lots of summer festivals are July/August based.

And summer break for Japanese schools is generally late July to early September, again centered on August.
