My max was around 160k with BLM, but I used the Lb killing a lot of people during node (and node too xD), the damange consider the LB too?

And the sad thing is that as SCH I did 120k, and my average as scolar is 50-70k, instead as BLM is around 80k

smn is the most powerful dps pve hands down no argument from anybody exept maybe a proud mnk with a bad smn is his static. however pvp smn is probably the weakest dps. maybe a vit geared tank is worse but not by much because they have some interrupting abilities.sustained dmg means nothing here. all your dots on a full alliance is countered by a single cast of medica2. after that you've got a fester every 10 seconds wich a whm can counter with regen. they dont even need to cast a cure or a cure2 to counter you. burst dmg is king and smn gets the shaft.

In PvM from what I'm hearing from in-game, forums, elitists, and pretty much anyone is : Monk -> Drg -> Smn.

In PvP, SMN's are broken compared to the rest of the dps classes. This coming from a guy who mains SMN. I've made multiple comments about how SMN are op, try reading them before posting silly posts like your last one.

Well, on August 21, 2014, one Japanese alliance of 21 Summoners and 3 Scholars has cleared SC Tower. They don't even need a tank:

On Sep 07, 2014, a Japanese alliance of 24 Warrior/Marauder has cleared SC Tower. They don't even need a healer because they are WoW Blood Death Knight reborn with better mechanics.

Best healer, best caster, and best Tank for the Frontline and Malestorm has them all!!! (Being sarcastic).

I've seen summoner end with 240k and runner up was a dragoon at 140k.

Damage numbers are not the only indicator of "skill". you have to see it in a whole and in comparison to others in the end of the specific battle.

If there are endless battles at flags, its most likely that the damage number on its own increases very much. If you defend a flag and no opponent is coming along its most unlikely that you will deal that high dmg numbers.. and especially the SMN can do much aeo damage over time with DoTs (weak aeo damage over time) which means no big burst damage like BLM can do but in a total it may be higher. And if he uses Aeo Limit breaks on many people also.

But yea. 240k seems very high, and no he is doubtfully not a bad player and knows what he does
the one and only indicator for a good player is the COMPARISON to other damage numbers in that specific battle. 85k damage can be high when most of the others just did around 45k damage. +aeo damage may be higher in a total, but if the single damage is high also stands on an other paper.

for example one run i did 115k damage as a black mage, but had 11 kills... while the other dds had around 1-4 kills.

i myself believe that blm can do much more burst damage from the start, while smn has to built up his damage over time.

Can't get that high when I'm playing with my friend SMN.
I think he did a 22-0 and over 250k if not even way above. I'll ask for a screenshot.
So 21-1 is the highest count kill I did so far but 135k dps isn't the highest dps I pulled.

I think I did between 150k 180k once. I'll check on 1 To of FL recorded if I'm not too lazy. x)

Exactly. I'm worried that people read these posts and jump on bandwagons or (even worse) ostracize jobs/classes because of the numbers alone. "DRG is bad dps, I saw it on forums, please switch!" etc... People are posting big numbers (which is the point of this thread of course), but I can only hope that readers realize they're from Team A/C with 3 healers vs another team with 3 healers and there's a non-stop fight going on until the end...or whatever the case may be lol.
