My best record so far was 15-0 , 149k damage without using a Limit Break as Summoner. Casters can really throw off the DPS with a quick Bind/Sleep LB, but I'm not a dick.. and there are better times to limit break.

Kills-Deaths wise, my best is also 15-0. 174k SMN w/o Limit Break. Someone always wastes LB whenever I queue solo sadly. Think the most recent derp LB sighting for me was when a MNK in my party used it on a freaking PLD. #LifeofFlames
220k on smn
130k on brd
540k heal on whm
My highest dps on PLD was 81k

Theres a prntscrn on my PS4 of a SMN doing 214391 damage. 13 minute fight.
My numbers so far
the numbers depend a lot on the match itself, like are you against 3 healers grps ? against no healer grps ? are ppl suiciding on your flag ? capturing outposts ? etc ...
As paladin I got 90k yesterday (STR SPEC, 3 points into PvP STR, full dps accessories, mostly bis stuff & sword oath), but even though that was a lot of damage for a paladin it was mainly because they had a ton of healers and the battle just went on for freaking forever. Could also get a lot more if all I did was rage of halone combo but my time's better spent stunning, covering, and shield lobbing healers that run and try to cast heals. With a dragoon/monk in the party for group STR bonus, eating food, a couple better equipment upgrades and a prolonged battle where I just rage of halone combo I could easily see 120k+ damage happening.
Summoners definitely have top DPS but lack in the burst department compared to others like black mage and dragoon. Also as a healer I've had a couple times where I got 6-7 kills but only 10k by just switching to clerics stance at the right time and helping my team burst someone down. I feel like the last 20% of hp is the crucial moment where if you can burst before they get a bene or lustrate not only can you secure the kill, but often times the healer will lose the beney as well (happens to me SOO many times!!).
SMN isn't OP lol Our numbers are that high for the reason WHMs can do 500k heals. DoTs, which coincidentally are reduced to garbage with WHMs regens up lol
You're a nut. Everyone knows SMN's are OP. Hell, I play PLD/MNK from time to time because it's just unfair playing one.
SMN's Bane easily makes a Healer's job annoying. Having all 4 SMN dots up on an entire alliance will always bring everyone's hp down by a good amount if left alone. If you're facing a good group that can coordinate attacks and burst through one healer at a time, even if the healer doesn't die, if 1 dps branches off that healer and aims for a dps, odds are they are gonna die without heals.
Then when it comes to 1v1, in the maybe 50-75 times out of the almost 300 FL matches I've done, I've never lost a 1v1 as my SMN. If a SMN knows how to make full use of all their skills, it's pretty much a done deal. Their burst damage is ridiculous.
smn is the most powerful dps pve hands down no argument from anybody exept maybe a proud mnk with a bad smn is his static. however pvp smn is probably the weakest dps. maybe a vit geared tank is worse but not by much because they have some interrupting abilities.sustained dmg means nothing here. all your dots on a full alliance is countered by a single cast of medica2. after that you've got a fester every 10 seconds wich a whm can counter with regen. they dont even need to cast a cure or a cure2 to counter you. burst dmg is king and smn gets the shaft.
if there were a mob in PvE with 5.5k hp, and a 5.5k regen every 3 seconds with another 1k/second regen on top of it... how many smn would it take to kill it?
