After the ordeal over "Radar" I don't think they would be fond of allowing mods.

There's really no reason this should be a big deal if it's available for all. There are similar addons used in WoW and it's no big deal.

As long as it doesn't give PC players an advantage over console players, then I don't see why it's an issue.

PC players already have an advantage over console players. It's the nature of the PC platform. The question is whether Yoshi-P will embrace the potential or give us a crippled and useless system. Since they aren't talking about it, I expect it to be the latter.
