not forced to do anything if there's multiple ways to obtain the same rewards. people who don't want to PvP can still Hunt. right now people are forced to Hunt even if they'd rather do Dungeons, Trials or PvP.
Oh, I agree, I just wish there was a way you could get the blood marked logs by doing dungeons. The hunt is probably the least fun content in the game to me currently.
