No credit for Animus Book kill

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to wrap my head around it, but I just completed Halatali HM for my Book of Skywind 1 only to find that it didn't count.

The only thing I can think of is that I was down when the specific mob was dropped, does that affect the completion credit?

If you were dead (on the ground) when the mob died then yes you don't get credit. Your best bet if something like that happens is to quickly return, as long as you are alive in zone when the mob dies it will still count.

Yeah, if you are dead when the boss dies you don't get credit.

If you were KOed when the final boss died then you do not get credit for the Animus book. Only MOB that I know of that will do this.

This also applies to enemies needed for your hunting log, but most people don't know this due to the lack of death from said enemies :P

More apparent with GC hunting log as that includes some dungeon bosses.
