because ss just absorbs damage based on 10% of your max hp. it has nothing to do with the magical/physical defense.

So 3 more if blms skills are useless, great

Maybe Manaward and Manawall? But both of those work as far as I'm aware. One simply gives you what amounts to a Stoneskin for magic, and another lets you take two physical hits without receiving damage. Neither of them affect defense values.
Damage reduction has nothing to do with physical and magical defence.

What issue are you expecting to be resolved exactly? The only issue in this thread has been player ignorance.
Can we get a definitive list of other actions please. For both Frontline and the Wolves’ Den, physical defense and magical defense are nullified, and battle balance was adjusted based on this. Due to this, Foresight, Protect, and other actions that boost your defense will not have an effect during battle.
I will be compiling your feedback and forwarding it to the devs regarding having this information appear in-game.
people are getting confused between the difference of the in-game magical/defense stat and skills that help defend against enemy damage. the two aren't the same. while a skill may help "defend" against enemy damage, it doesn't necessarily mean that it does that by increasing the in-game defense stat. seems people are having difficulty separating the two. like for example SCHs cast Adloquium to get a bubble that absorbs damage called Galvanize. while it does defend against enemy damage until it "bursts", it does nothing to teh defense stat itself.

Would protect still be ok to cast if its seen as a protection against one ilm punch and wither?
