Need help deciding

Hi guys! I started playing this game last april and went black mage. When i reached lvl32 i got burned out and started a monk and got burned out again and returned being a black mage. I already got my stardust rod to atma and currently on my 5th book. Then one day i tried playing monk again and got in love with it again. I already have sands and UAT for a i110 weapon but i don't know if i should use it for my black mage or for my monk. One more question should i upgrade my monk's relic weapon to animus(zenith at the moment) or should i just use the i110 weapon on my monk. Thanks in advance.

As for BLM I can't tell you what you should go after but most BiS lists I've seen for monk have the i110 soldiery weapon besides the scob weapon and I have to agree. Plus*since you've already got the BLM atma you might as well continue that path to novus.

That entirely depends on whether you want to do the atma grind again or not.

Personally I would just get the i110 weapon for your monk, and finish upgrading your BLM atma weapon. But if you don't mind doing the atma grind a second time then by all means go for it.

Novus is always at least as good as the i110 weapons since you customize the secondary stats as you see fit. Animus is only i100, so it's worse than the UAT weapons.

so it's better to get a i110 weapon for my monk and then just finishing upgrading my BLM atma weapon to novus, correct?

My personal opinion is to get glanzfaust as it is, or so I'm led to believe, -the- BiS for MNK. Laev seems a waste to me if you could go Novus because, other than higher base stats (INT and Magic Dam, both of which are shared by all i110) its secondary stats are lackluster. That is to say, Laev gives 40 ACC and 31 SS. Accuracy is very important if you plan to do Coil or EX primals but there are other ways to get it that are still pretty helpful damage-wise (the new CT2 gear comes to mind as an example). As far as spell spead is concerned Laev is a downgrade from Animus (Laev 31, Animus 40). This is just my 2 cents but I hope it helps

4 books and a bit of an alexandrite grind is nothing in the long run, and since UAT weap for mnk is best go for that since you're on zenith there

I agree with most here, you have started the zodiak path on your BLM, don't make the effort you put into it meaningless. MNK on the otherhand has a fresh pot of oil and a tome, get dat token weapon! Seems to be the most efficient for you in terms of time invested.

I started working on my black mage and I enjoyed it for a while but once we got to 2nd coil my outlook change.
All the movement disadvantages really annoyed me, all the constant casting interruptions etc...so even though I had i100 weapon for BLM, I switched to summoner and got UAT. Now I main a summoner and 2nd coil is a lot more enjoyable for me.

So just because you started progressing on the novus questline shouldn't feel like a reason to continue playing a class you don't enjoy
