If they ever factor moral back into pvp, they'll probably keep glamours off.Originally there weren't any plans, but there's a lot of requests coming in for it. In the last Live Letter, as mentioned, Yoshida said they'll be doing something about it.
Originally the "No Glamours" policy was decided on for Wolves' Den, which originally displayed Fresh Meat as the name of all opponent characters. In 2.28, however, opponent names were changed from "Fresh Meat" to whatever their class is, in order to promote clarity, and this essentially gives a workaround to the main difficulty Glamours would introduce (difficulty discerning targets).
You'd want to know if the healer is un-facerollable or not depending on his gear.

Yoshida confirmed during the last live letter that glamours will be put into Frontlines.

Every opposing player now has their job listed above their head instead of fresh meat.
Really don't see the problem with glamours - people just need to open their eyes a little.

I don't see a problem since effectively all your gear is synced in Frontlines to be ilvl80. considering I play a SMN who is ilvl96 and I have seen my stats reduced, I am quite sure, no matter what gear you are wearing, if they are above the ilvl, they will be synced down. Or am I incorrect in this?

No, you're correct. However, just because gear is synced down doesn't mean it's synced up - and an undergeared target being identified by what they're wearing is still potentially important information to PvP decisions.I don't see a problem since effectively all your gear is synced in Frontlines to be ilvl80. considering I play a SMN who is ilvl96 and I have seen my stats reduced, I am quite sure, no matter what gear you are wearing, if they are above the ilvl, they will be synced down. However, that really is the last major concern at the moment due to the implementation of class displays, and I think Yoshida and co recognise that it's a pretty minor concern with rare enough impact to be overlookable.
When I’m choosing my target the first thing is see is the tag above the players head... what gear they are wearing is irrelevant! Glamour’s should work and hopefully they will change this soon.
