    Unable to complete version check. (PS4)

    I tried to login this morning and was met with an Unable to complete version check error. Any help in fixing this would be appreciated.

    Same here tried logging in at 9:15AM EST time which should be after the maintenance window but getting the same error message. Did your PS4 update this morning I am wondering if the update broke something.

    My PS4 DID update this morning. However, I do not think that is the problem. My fiance and I have our PS4s/TVs in the same room, use the same wifi and both had to upgrade our PS4s this morning. Our PS4s upgraded like normal. When we started up FFXIV, he could login fine, he had a little update, then he was playing.

    Me, on the other hand....when I tried to login, I did not get the little update, just the error. So I think it has to be with FFXIV itself. I had to leave for work so I couldn't try any at home troubleshooting. Thinking I will try to reset/refresh my router and see if that does anything when I get home.

    EDIT: What is your launcher version? From what I am reading online that could be the problem.

    i had a similar error on the ps3. i tried updating it 3xs and got nowhere. what worked for me was exiting the game completely and restarting it. i was then able to update the game and start playing.
