Is non-flashy text allowed? It's technically not altering the material in anyway, aside from adding like text on the video, but I just want to be sure.

If I'm interpreting it right, then no after effects or color correction.
So, it is just editing vanilla video and audio material, with the exception to players' voice-overs.

That sounds so restrictive it's hilarious. Well, I guess i'll try what I think fits and if it gets booted then so be it.

I'm going to laugh super hard when they go through the videos and start banning people for ToS violations. They have done it before, so I don't see why they would stop now.

Yeah it seems nuts...
I think the most important thing though, aside from just enjoying the process of making it,
is to make sure you're not using copyrighted material that isn't part of FFXIV, and also not to the monetize your youtube video.

Aside from that, I'm sure they'll let some stuff slide, like floating shiny text... but who knows.
