Please SE, no more crafting mat dungeon rewards.

After 50, the point of running 'endgame' dungeons is to get loot. Right? The staggered level of dungeon difficulty is in place so that you can jump from easy content, to medium, to hard, all the while getting better and better equipment from dungeons. Right?

It is extremely frustrating to try and gear up a class with crafting materials hogging up the loot pool. Especially as a DPS, you have to wait for a long queue, and then (for those who actually NEED gear from the dungeons like Hardflox or LCA get ridiculed/abandoned for having "bad" gear), if your party doesn't ragequit on you for not being max iLvl for speedruns you actually get to complete a few boss fights. What do you get? Voidsent Blood. ....Or my personal favorite, Filtered Water! The dungeon itself gives more gil than these materials sell for.

This is an awful mechanic and needs to stop now. How does it make sense that I have run enough new-gen dungeons to fully max out a class with i100 soldiery equipment, but STILL have not completed a single set 5-piece armor set of i70 dungeon drops from these new dungeons. These materials can already be bought from the GC, allowing people to trade in dungeon drops they don't want for seals > crafting mats. Why do you get spammed with them at a rate of 2-3:1 materials to gear when trying to get actual dungeon drops.

It's probably way too late to see a change for LCA/Flox/Halatali, but hopefully if we make some noise these kind of mechanics can be discouraged in the future dungeons.

I like crafting mats in dungeons. Makes them a lot easier to get.

    No..... and here is why

2.0 dungeons drop ilvl 65 gear..... provide currency for ilvl 90 gear.

2.2 dungeons drop ilvl 70 gear.... provide currency for ilvl 100 gear (and the previous tier's ilvl 90 gear).

The actual drops are totally and completely pointless. Get myth/soldiery.

And before you talk about "fresh 50s" I made a 2nd toon and leveled a bard to be able to double up on raids in 2.0. Got 1 drop from dungeons before I was in full darklight/Ifrit bow.

I need my myth for my atma books and I need the soldiery for my main class. I want the gear from the hard modes and CT so I can gear up my other classes to run Coil 1 with them, so I can start getting that gear.

Not everyone plays at your speed. Seeing that you leveled a 2nd character simply to dual-log raids, I would assume you plow through things pretty quickly. What about people who only play a few hours a night, a couple days a week, a brand spankin' new character working their way through the massive story, etc. The gear that people are getting from dungeons does in fact have it's place. Maybe not for YOU, but for the greater population.

It's do difficult to get the i70 gear sets. I still havent even seen the healer body drop. :/

Capping your currency weekly is 2.5 hours of play tops. I dunno what people think goes into "plowing things pretty quickly" but I generally log in for 15 minutes do my roulette and then sit around or log out.

Leveling the bard... basically the same thing. i'd log in, queue up for daily, and od story quest while waiting on dps queue. Maybe an hour total a day.

I'm glad it works for you, but again, you can't apply your speed at obtaining items to the greater player base and expect for it to make for a decent argument. Not everyone caps tomes each week. But even if they did, that's what, one piece of solidery gear a week/every other week for higher priced items? What do they do in the meantime? Grind myth? What if they're trying to gear a second job and are spending all their myth on books?
