Am I missing something about Novus?

After spending so much time grinding atma, finishing the animus' books, and gathering 75 alexs why wouldn't you want your weapon to be the best it can be? Besides, it's not like there is so much content that you can't take your time to spiritbond as much as you need to. I didn't waste any $$ on my novus, but only the one I made spiritbonding.

That's how I look at it. I'm very happy with my 44 crit / 31 det novus bow.

Edit: I also have the high allagan bow.
