Nope, its just that the hunt is a detriment to casuals. By casuals, I mean those with limited playing time, not those that don't raid.Apart from the solo/small party thing I've never had any issues with hunts. I normally sit in an 8 man FC only group connected to other groups via LS. Bickering? Irrelevant, I don't care what random nobodies think.
And are people overlooking that this is the Casual patch on the usual casual/hardcore patch cycle?
In an hour a person could be almost fully geared in i90 (sans weapon) from Hunt seals and Myth. How is that detrimental to casuals? And if they had less than an hour then they most likely wouldn't be raiding either. I think the main issue people have is that this is (intended or not) pure group content.
I'm pretty casual, in a non-raidy sort of way and Both my 90 combat classes are i86 (including weapon). The same will be true of at least 3 other combat classes (I've had good luck with my retainers; which is something else that benefits casual players immensely).
Most casuals, unless they are lucky or connected to a decent LS, will have very little luck to a decent hunting time. Maybe I'm speaking from my server's pov, but being from one that's very populated, those who are on all day, every day rule the hunt.In an hour a person could be almost fully geared in i90 (sans weapon) from Hunt seals and Myth. It's like the old fate grinding in Quarrymill - heaps of people want to be a part of a group, but not a single one of them wants to start a new one and gather up all the other people shouting to get into a group.
So you create your own group out of the people that aren't in already. Most of the time these people just want someone to lead them. The next step after that is to find out when and where the marks spawn and start tracking them. A lot of people use an online session, but I prefer to use an offline spreadsheet as it doesn't vanish when I log off. After that it just a matter of being in the zones at roughly the right time and paying attention to chat. If you call out enough coords eventually someone will invite you to a Linkshell and people in that Linkshell will already be members of others![]()
Having an opinion does not make you right or wrong, it simply means you have an opinion. Don't get irritated when people don't agree.
Server crash @ S rank.
Whats up SE?
It's a mistake to let people skip gear tiers. It makes old content obsolete and it shortens progession time. Once you reach the end, there's little to do. It shoild take at least a month for a fresh 50 to reach the second coil.

Here hunts have been devaluing content , crashing servers, making mobs disappear for 3 weeks.

You'll be waiting a long time. They avoid difficult questions like an obese person avoids a salad.Responses to:

Take, for example, their speedy response to Atma farming. Oh, yeah... zero official response.
Page 3... Checking for Dev response. Hm. Yep Square Enix is turning their backs on us at this point. Hunts are amazing and perfect I guess. Thanks SE!
P.S. This is not my main...
I agree with this post. Let's not nerf hunts into being non-viable before we even have a chance. They have been a godsend for a new player like me, you do realize you get kicked out of groups for not having a high enough ilvl with the way people act in this game? Remove the rewards from hunts and it will be next to impossible to gear up unless people are willing to carry someone through a bunch of runs. Which most people are not willing to do btw.I don't understand why some think it is broken. If you are doing the duty roulette, don't you want people to have at least ilvl 90 gear, as apposed to coming in with ilvl 58 or 60?
it will let people jump from ilvl 45 -> 90 -> 110 and keep them close with the ilvl 120 -125 raiders. Soon all of the items received from hunts wont be an alternate to progression (ie the current problem), but only a means to catch up. That alone will fix most of it.
