This would make more sense in patch 2.4 when there is that new level of gear to get. So for the next 70-90 days until 2.4 drops hunts will continue to devalue other forms of content. My misunderstanding isn't with the idea behind hunts. It's just that they reward all forms of progress in the game which is unbalanced when compared to other forms of content reward.

Well if this was the case why not have sand/oil drop from elite dungeons and EX trials? Instead it's one specific, non raid, piece of end game content instead of all of it.

On one side I got something to do on coil off-days and since I have finished Animus, and hey free gear!

On the other side I think it breaks the game and turns gear absolutely worthless due to the ease of getting seals. I like the activity of finding mobs, but I feel like it cheapens the long term game.

I don't understand why some think it is broken. If you are doing the duty roulette, don't you want people to have at least ilvl 90 gear, as apposed to coming in with ilvl 58 or 60?

The next patch will cool people down on hunts (oils and sands will lose value), once they move to higher level gear. By then, it will feel perfect. it will let people jump from ilvl 45 -> 90 -> 110 and keep them close with the ilvl 120 -125 raiders. Soon all of the items received from hunts wont be an alternate to progression (ie the current problem), but only a means to catch up. That alone will fix most of it.

I agree with this post. Let's not nerf hunts into being non-viable before we even have a chance. They have been a godsend for a new player like me, you do realize you get kicked out of groups for not having a high enough ilvl with the way people act in this game? Remove the rewards from hunts and it will be next to impossible to gear up unless people are willing to carry someone through a bunch of runs. Which most people are not willing to do btw.

kicked for not having high ilvl? ehm ??? what???,if u need hunt 110 gear so u dont feel carried something is wrong.... u get free ilvl 90+ ilvl100 from soldiery CT, thats enough gear to kill everything atm

if u think u need to be i110 to kill mobs that drop 110 gear

It's not me that thinks that. It's the rest of the players in the game that insist you need the best gear at all times. Please read next time, thanks!
