Elite Mark Fix?

At the following time, in order to address issues in the NA/EU language versions, as well as make adjustments related to Elite Marks, we will be performing maintenance on all Worlds.
During this period, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will be unavailable.

Are they just making daily marks more usable now or do I smell a nerf incoming?

The number of Allied seals a player can receive from elite marks in a day is now limited to 250. This amount will reset during the daily reset.
The number of Allagan Tomestones of Mythology dropped by elite marks has been reduced to 50% of the current rate.
The number of Allagan Tomestones of Soldiery dropped by elite marks has been reduced to 25% of the current rate.

The following change has been made to “The Hunt”.

The Elite Mark Bill has been adjusted so that when it is updated the same monster will not be the targeted mark two weeks in a row.

Sitting here at work wondering where the news on what they changed is at. Thought maybe the maintenance got delayed or something. Figured we would know something by now. Bracing myself for bad news about how hunt rewards have been nerfed to hell with a slight increase in daily rewards.

Can you blame them? i mean who would rightfully sit here and say Hunts didn't NEED a nerf unless they were used to everything being handed to them.

I know a hunter that had already get 6 sands. Nerfing now just make the other ppl more difficult to catch up.
In spite of the reward, hunt is not enjoyable, making it an enjoyable content with reasonable reward/alternative route to gear up for SCoB should be the solution.

People are/were already geared to do SCoB. Turn/weekly lock is the reason people weren't/aren't doing SCoB, not lack of free handout Sands and Oil for linkshell zerging The Hunt.

I'm working night shift and was off yesterday so I stayed up all night hunting. I got 750 seals right as it was time to go to sleep. I wanted to make sure i at least got 1 sand just in case they make it alot harder to obtain after this "fix". I would have been kicking myself for not taking advantage of it while it lasted. Just bored at work waiting to see what the change will be. Soon, very soon.

I felt the same way as you and was tempted to go nuts on hunts this past weekend before any nerfs but then I realized I don't really give a crap about it.
