Yeah...Kinda wish it was possible to dye multiple parts of our equipment.
The way they have it now is just so arbitrarily chosen it doesn't really make sense for most items.
As is evident in what you posted.
Two basically similar item styles, but dyes work differently on them.
    Just doesn't make sense.
You should be able to dye separate sections of armor, including the belts and chains or what have you that are on them.

I guess PS3 limitations, as Evangela said is the culprit.
But they could still include it and just not render it on PS3 systems.
So people that can see can still see it but those with slower processors or whatever only see theirs and basic shades on others.

(I might be ranting incoherently because it's late and I'm sleepy T_T )

I wouldn't mind being able to dye the main part of the Spring Dress set. It would've been perfect for me, but I pretty much demand a majority honey yellow.

I don't see that as a problem. DCUO has quite a complex costume coloring system that you can use up to three different colors for coloring various parts of the suits, using from one to three different colors on each article of clothing. Way more complex than we have here,, and it works quite well on the PS3.

I would approve of this especially since the Bard pants are split on two colors anyway

    Greetings,

After speaking with the development team, we were informed that allowing gear to be dyed more than one color would double the data for a single piece of equipment. This would also require changes to the equipment system itself, so we do not have any plans at the moment to make it possible to dye gear two different colors.

What about just more color-change when utilizing a single dye? So you don't have these horrible color clashes happen with gear that is predominantly two-toned already.

The Augmented AF gear seems to do this, at least the pieces I have dyed so far, so hopefully they continue with it.

If there's a post I would like to dislike the most, this is one.

At least you have an answer lol. Double duo-tone dyeing would look cool though. . (or hilarious.)
