Hunts are the best thing to happen to XIV's community since launch

I'm really proud what my server is doing right now. I met lots new ppl who I used to see their name a lot but afraid to talk to them. Now, we can do things together and have fun.

Argument is usually coming from the miss-match of the point of view. If wait 30 seconds can make another 50 people also earn the credit -> 50 more happy people, "I" will be very glad to do so. "I" will shout for the mob's location and share the credit with everybody. Most of people in our server have this sharing thought in their mind. I'm so happy I'm together with a big happy family. "I" also sort of understand why the people want to pull early or solo it. One day when I was mining some lv25 stones for my pond crafting, I got hit by one mob (later I knew it's B rank). So, I changed my job wait for the cool down wear and hit him back. Then, there was one person was mad at me for didn't shout the location while she hit the mob with me at mob's 30% hp, that's like 8 mins away since the mob hit me already. I always heard about the teamspeak team but never know how to reach them even though I tried to ask people in various LS and no one answered. I was so upset because it's only 5 seals, the only NM I saw in 2 weeks and I already made people mad... That event made me don't want to do ANY hunt forever.

Fortunately, one day super Vergil saved me and invited me to a hunt party, (aww now it's like I'm preaching ) then I met lots lots really nice and kind people. It's like my hopeless I-will-never-get-any-allied-seals thought suddenly like thunder storm -> clear or hmm 5:59am ET -> 6:00am ET (super music starts in Eorzea) happy happy time. People are nice in there keep repeat and repeat location and where need to be careful, or "please be nice to the early puller". It feels nice since lots "orange" names around me and I can stalk them at once. I can now team up with Mr. Face, team up with the random stranger I kept seeing jumping round market board, team up with the Roe always show up near retainer bell with super whm robe, team up with the person always stand next to Grid Crystal, and get to know all of them. It's really a nice event that very fortunately I was inside one nice server that has people willing to band together instead of "It's my precious!" and fight each other.

Things are probably different server to server, seems some are having problems while others mostly not. One canonly hope their server gets better community wise with time.

Have I ever been abusive to another player without provocation?
Have I ever taken advantage of those around me for my own gain?
You start off your 'HB' post by pointing out that you too were a victim of our server's 'kindness Alliance' But that, now that you joined them everything's peachy. And if you're happy this way, that's fine. But you're still letting them bully you. Sure, you're raking in the Allied Marks now, but your doing it by their rules, assisting them...helping you is just par for the course for them. And sure, you probably made some awesome friends like you who also are just cogs in the larger system...who like you got tired of getting yelled at and decided to just join the path of least resistance, but there's nothing 'kind' or 'generous' about these groups overall. It's very much a 'I'm helping you to help me more' scenario.

Still, Its NOT OKAY to me that they think they set the rules for the entire server and it's 'do it our way or we scream at you'. Your kind and gentle, circle of friends have harassed me, and screamed at me on at least 3 different occasions now. 2 of them, I FOUND AND TOLD THEM WHERE THE MOB WAS. The 3rd, I wasn't even in the same zone...someone else ticked them off and they made sure I heard of it as they felt I could 'keep my FC members in line' Yeah, cause THAT's what a good leader does.... enforces other groups made up rules that undermine your groups progress. They have harrassed my friends...some have been that abusive towards my friends they received temp bans from the game (the abusers not my friends).


So again, you start off your 'HB' post showing off what exactly is wrong with these 'bullies'... you're 100% correct, NO ONE should be screaming at anyone over 5 allied seals. You saw it first, no one was around...you changed gear, and STILL no one was around. They had no right to yell at you. You illustate how 'ellusive' getting into a Hunt LS/the TS server can be on our server, you show how frustrated you were....

Then you erase it all when you JOIN them. You know, they are still bullying those not it the 'alliance' right? You know, there's still no respect for the person with the initial claim right? Nothing changed... you just are on the 'inside' now. And even if your Hunt LS, is polite and welcoming as pie, it is still so tarnished by the bad behaviors of the faceless hoarde there is no salvation for them. (ESP since LS groups aren't easy to identify...how can any solo player know the LS griefing is always LS 'blah')....all the small group sees is 'masse of people screaming ...oh hey, I know that person yelling at me...gee, thanks'

look, I have no idea why do you asked me so much weird stuffs. I perfectly stressed "I" part that means it's only my personal opinion. I hided the whole that means I don't want to change people's point of view. I do not want to preach people and change people's idea about this hunt thing. However, I felt loved when I joined and I saw the OP had the same feeling as I do. That's why I was writing it.
If you really went into TS hunt channel, you will hear people repeatedly said do not yell at random people who pulled early.

It made me very sad that you took my post into a completely wrong way tho. that hurts.

I still can't believe how much your reply bugs me @ 3am of a sleepless night. I believe in "I" can wait for people because most of us are nice and also wait for each other. We form a nice circle around the mob and wait. even after once and once more ridiculous extension, we still follow the rule and hold our fires. Most of us don't yell at early pullers or solo hunters. However, there are always few bad players who is either too young to think for the others or miss clicked range skills or who has mental illness that can't hold their temper to just lose control.

I experienced both side of the situation and now I know sharing with the other 200 people is better. You believed in your own theory and started to yell at my belief, experience and all other well-behaved people are wrong. Pin picking little passage that I don't even meant to say inside my previous post. What made you different than these 1-3% ppl, who believed hunting should be done in a huge group and wait for everyone, yelled at you "you shouldn't solo the hunting target"? bully bully bully everywhere... so easy to just point out some bad people and accused the whole other 200 ppl as the same.

And the person who yelled at me for soloing the hunt target, I never saw her inside the hunt group.

Again, I have no interest to convert your thinking. that's your believe and experience. However, please respect mine.

I was pointing out that originally when you were out minding your own business, happily playing, these groups came in, and made you uncomfortable....for playing the game differently than they wanted you to play. Then you said you wanted to be in one of their groups, but had trouble finding one, because again, it's not simply a 'I want in, where do I sign up!' on our server, but you need to know who to ask, and who has openings still. But you found a group, and are happy with that group. That's fine.

You joined them. which is fine. You're having fun with them. Also fine. But the ONLY reason, they are being 'nice' now, is because you're one of them. So yes, I'm quite sure it's a positive experience from the inside...but that doesn't excuse their behavior previously.

Deli, I point blank don't do the hunts. I HATE the screaming. Hate it. But even in not doing them, I still have to hear about it. I see the constant bickering when out gathering. I get nasty tells if the hoarde thinks someone I know should 'fall in line' ....I've gotten picked on for killing a B rank with no one around. I'm not antagonizing them, I'm not purposefully, claiming mobs or 'soloing' or anything of the sort. Those 3 B mobs I killed (yes only 3)? 2 were the Same mob...I was out gathering Amber for leveling carp desynth. The other, out gathering lighting shards. I don't deserve to be hated on for that. NO ONE does.

I only was pointing out that you are saying how 'wonderful' your Hunt Group is, after saying how much these same groups hurt your feelings and , treated you before you were in a Hunt group/while you were looking to join. I am saying, I'd rather stay ilvl98 forever than join in people who ever bullied YOU or me over a Silly B rank, worth 5 seals that they didn't even see and that will respawn soon enough. And even though the shell you're in might be sweet as pie, wonderful people who would never bully, and who like you were the victims of our servers Hunt Bullies as well, the fact is, when you see 100's of people, many shouting nasty things, you can't tell who's in which groups so they all get tarnished.

So yes, I'm happy you're happy. I'm sad you joined the bullies so that you could be happy.

And I've witnessed some of these participants mock you for wanting to join a party. It's not like when you're about to participate in a Behemoth or Odin FATE, where you ask to join a group and someone sends an invite. It's more like "NO! MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE!" with some of these participants.

Now I have no negative feelings regarding the elite hunts themselves, it's the people.

Yea multiple times I'd run into a mark, 100 people around me, not a single person invites. I end up inviting 1 or 2 others asking for invites but with only 3 of us we don't generate enough aggro and don't get the full reward.

I wonder if it's a Legacy Server / Non Legacy Server thing in that case. A lot of people have posted in here agreeing with the OP.

I don't really know if it's legacy or not legacy or whatever but isn't Excalibur legacy? Behemoth isn't legacy and its awful.
People who agree are those who play off peak hours...and of course all the idiots are at school/work. When I get home it's a disaster so I've tried not to participate too much anymore.
It's just not fun.

I've had more fun 2 manning a fate boss with a random passerby than this.
