I'd like to see it as a turn based tactical game ala ff tactics hehe.
I'd like to see it as a turn based tactical game ala ff tactics hehe.
Turn Based Strategy like Tactics, ATB "Everyone stands in a row" like classic FF, Turn-Based like CLASSIC classic FF...I don't care how they do it, I just want to see this happen. I almost never summon my minion anymore, so it'd be awesome to have a reason to actually bring my Minion out on occasion.
I am voicing support for this idea.
It really doesn't have to be made complicated - after all complexity would make it hella hard to implement. But this does sound like a perfect thing to implement for the Gold Saucer.
Only thing I'm sad about is all those minions I can never get that I'll encounter. Otherwise, amazing idea..
I'm trying to imagine something like Tatics. Am I right?
They DID IT! <3
The minions could be element-based, since they left the elemental stats behind with the old XIV 1.23.
Slime i choose you!
Now cast.....wait where you going, u blind or something?
Hey! you listening?
Talk to me damit.....
Go Wind-up GC Leader!
Raubahn! Don't just stand there looking bad ass! Go BE bad ass!! ^^;
Ohoho, Wind-up Odin is doing Zantetsuken! *aoe of about 3 inches* Nooooooooooooooo!
Wind-up Airship is going to bombard the opposing team! *plink plink* Well, it's more like a bombardment of Pop Its... but at least it's something...
I like the idea of making them elemental-based... put a little more depth into the basic combat style, though then we might be treading a bit too close to Pokémon territory hehe.
No, not FF Tactics style combat, that'd probably be a bit much with combat taking too long.
More classic ATB-style like almost every other entry in the series (e.g. FFVI).
Tactics-style down the road would be awesome, perhaps if they simplified it (e.g. flat, tiny arenas).
But the first iteration should mos def be old school ATB style baby!
And I'm not too worried about missing certain minions from your collection, like I mentioned - the mini-game should be finely tuned with plenty of overlap within archetypes so as to diminish imbalances & promote fairness.
Sure, you might get jealous you don't have that Windup Bahamut ;P but it shouldn't be excessively OP or anything.
