What's Moogle Really Like? [Swapping Servers & Raid Hunting]

Hi,

I'm looking to swap servers from Exodus (NA) to Moogle!
Raiding at 1am-3am+ several nights a week has started to take it's toll on me and I'm tired of logging on with the server practically empty except for some benefit scroungers online not working.

I'm interested in joining an evening raid group progressing into T9 ready for the swap, but happy to come across if there's a friendly Free Company just learning T6+ (It's what I'm stuck doing on Exouds anyway..)

I haven't cleared T8 yet, but with my previous group before they moved to 4am raids, I managed to get an incredibly thorough understanding of the fight.

Hey. As for hunts, they work great during mornings (I'm talking about when its very early in europe, and a bit late for you.). However, during the day time... it can be full of people who doesn't care to wait 1 min, which I do understand, but we have people who pulls and notify others, while they expect some one to do it for them. Anyways this server works good for you, if you are on early. Theres nothing much else to say, unless you wanna know something else.

Sadly my raid team is just in need of a tank, so I'd have no raiding spot for you. You're welcome to join my FC and/or Linkshell in the meantime.

I think it's safe to say that Moogle has a large mix of elitists to casual players, and a good range of players who speak little English. The shout chats are quite busy with hunts, and in the main cities with advertisements. Mor Dhona sometimes gets some lovely banter. Party Finder starts to die out about 10-11pm, and hunting is easier when you're hitting the middle of the night right now. A lot of FCs exist out there, a few are similar and a few are quite different. Really you need to look in-game if you're looking for something specific, most don't use the forums at all.

I'd suggest making a character on Moogle. If its locked to new characters, try again later (9pm+), since we're one of the busiest servers. See what it's like for yourself, and who has what to offer for you here.

I do wonder though... Looking at the Server Progression thread I noticed that the top raiding Free Company is <<B H>> or whatever. A French Free Company.

I enjoy playing with French players, used to game with a great team on League of Legends for a couple years, but I worry that there's potential for discrimination and people just don't want to flit between two languages when chatting. Which'd mean it's harder for someone like myself to jump straight into the raids.

Moogle is the unofficial French server, yes, but there are plenty of English players too.

My free company Knights of Pluto is just moving into T6 and I'm sure would be thrilled to have you. They do tend to raid earlier than you'd be on though. But we do have players hunting from 22.00 GMT onwards

I think the number of French and English is still around even, I remember both were arguing in beta/early access for control in Mor Dhona...

I don't think the majority of our French players do speak very good English though. I know my French neighbours in Mist have players who cannot speak any English, which is why it's been a pain asking them to stop harassing members crafting near the market board. I believe you'll find French and English arguing on any server, to be fair. I've entered duties myself where I've seen a French player confused themselves at how other French players wish to play the game, and there's a French player in my Linkshell who was often insulting other French and their gameplay style.

I'm on benefits simply because I can't find full-time work as of yet since I left university, and there are those with health issues that can lead to their benefits and inability to work full-time.
