Question of bahamut(spoilers)

I'm somehow still having a hard time thinking Bahamut was summoned and free for a long period of time before his capture. Imagine Eorzea if such a creature was permanently present within the realm and the toll it would take on the planet's aether ressource, there would be no other life-form until it is eventually defeated (and I really doubt he would be just be chillin' on a beach and content to feed on solar energy all day long).

It IS possible that an unknown beast-tribe (or any culture) could have summoned him to counter the Allags, but unless they had already the Omega weapon and Dalamud planned out I can't help but feel like he would have wiped them out in a day. I still think its very possible that he was given shape(summoned, therefor existed in the lifestream and could have been seen by other cultures prior) in Dalamud or really soon after.

I dont, first think this happened like 6 thousands years ago also with the earthquake that wiped the allags, all evidence of bahamut before his imprission sure it dissapeared already.The Allags had were had a high tecnology behond our reason. They had starships even bigger than bahamut, I'm sure that allags didnt have any problem to defeat him, but given that they knew that kepping a primal's aether in the phisical form a more better solution than destroy him and having the risk he could appear again on the future. We dont know but maybe if they could prission that primal, I'm sure his possible beast tribe could have been wiped out from the face of the earth, we arent sure. But something we know is that Bahamut is an Elder primal, as far as we know the normal primals have followers, but we dont know how the elder primals works, an evidence is on Odin, he is an elder primal but does he have followers? how he reappear again?

Odin seems to not need prayers to bring himself into Eorzea, Bahamut is probably the same. Think on this though, we kill primals 2-3 times each. Every time we kill one it gets resummoned, what if the Allag had the same issue with Bahamut? I doubt they would have much more of a struggle with elder primals as we do with normal ones. So assume they trapped him and kept him in physical form so that he couldn't resummon. He could only exist on their terms then.
