OK, kinda confused--where do I go to initiate Bowl of Embers (Hard) in DF??

I've done some of the Main Scenerio after the credits rolled, and I'm at the point in my Relic Weapon quest to go fight Bowl of Embers Hard mode.

Where do I go or who do I talk to to get that in DF? It's not there now. ?

Go back to the waking sands after completing the original main scenario (if you have your magitech mount then you've done it)

Speak to Urianger - He will give you the quest - Ifrit bleeds, we can kill it - This will unlock the bowl of embers HM

I did that--and he gave me some Level 46 quest and sent me to talk to the head Archer in the Archers Guild. Now I'm chasing some figure in black or something. ?? Or is that the right quest?

I do have my Magitek Armor mount (and love it!)

Woops: just checked - and apparently the quest is given by Minfillia - she then directs you to urianger

That sounds like the Odin questline. You... should have had multiple quests pop up when you talked to him though.

If I remember rightly, Ifrit HM requires you to travel deep into the amalj'aa stronghold of Zaha'rak to the beastmen aetheryte where you have to attune yourself to it (doing so causes a dungeon entrance to appear and the title 'Bowl of Embers (Hard) Unlocked' will appear). This is also the same for the other HM Primals as well - they each have a beastmen aetheryte you have to attune yourself to, but that only becomes possible when you've started the relevant quest to do so.
