Without a lot of details, it's impossible for a community to offer an opinion. Well, ok, an INFORMED opinion.
If he did something actually heinous such as robbing the company chest or another FC member's chastity, then yeah drop him like a bad habit.
If it was just a difference of opinion and he's still your friend, then it's your choice. But I would talk with him first.
Communication is key, here: To get good advice you gotta share more details, and to properly make your decision you should communicate with your friend.

I think it would be a pretty lame to remove the account entirely from him. You bought it for him as a gift, and now because you had a spat, you're wanting to take it back? Make him pay for the subscription, sure, but taking back a gift (the account itself) is wrong.

That in itself isn't your problem. You were kind enough to get him an account, you do not owe him the continued subscription. Playing a video game is not a necessity in life :3

It's real simply if they move to another Fc but you still play together and you have np paying for the account then keep paying for it.But if you and said friend are no longer RL friends and you don't care about the account give them the info needed for the account and tell them they wanna play they can pay for it.If ur worried about personal info then just terminate the account be done with it

Have you known this person for a long time? Can the friendship be salvaged? If not, I would at the very least stop paying for it. Maybe you can delete your credit card info and such on Mog Station and just let them take over the sub? Of course, if the disagreement was bad enough, and I didn't care if I ever saw that person again...I'd have a hard time not deleting the account.
