I find it hard to believe a group of 8 people aren't getting full credit. It doesn't matter if it's reset, you still have plenty of time to attack it for full. This is only a problem if you aren't in a group.

Pretty much this. There's something terribly wrong if a full party can see it and attack it and NOT get full credit. You also didn't specify how many friends were with you so that would certainly be a factor if it was any less. There could have also been THAT many people swarming the thing, but even still that's odd with the HP boost to A ranks. Sorry about your luck, regardless OP.

It seems as though you two are not on Excalibur server. Yeah, this can happen. I've seen it happen with a group of 4 Whm spamming medica and 4 War not get full credit. Our server is really populated.Pretty much this. There's something terribly wrong if a full party can see it and attack it and NOT get full credit. No, most people get partial credit. I've been in a few times and full credit isn't even most of the time. And I mean in a full group, yes they still don't get credit. It should be noted to anyone not on Excalibur, we have a teamspeak where everyone co-ordinates, gathers together, and decides a time to pull so everyone can get maximum credit. Anyone can join, there's really no restriction barring your party leader having a mic.
It has become the accepted way of how Excalibur does hunts, allowing the majority to get full credit by waiting and pulling in unison.
Pulling as a small group just meant they'd screwed over a lot of people from getting credit, which imo is kind of selfish. Clearly the tank was trying to reset so more of the group to get credit. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Hmm, not sure you understand how hunt credit works. First off, anybody in a party with 4 Whm and 4 War doing hunts is retarded. You need real DPS and doing hunts without at least a few dps jobs in your party is going to get you nowhere. Getting credit for a hunt depends on how much dps your (FULL) party can add to the mob before it dies.It seems as though you two are not on Excalibur server. Yeah, this can happen. The only time's I have not received full credit from a hunt monster is when either the mob was pulled before I (and the majority of the party) reached it and so we end up having less time to do as much dps as possible since the mob might be already half dead when we arrived to start fighting it, or I wasn't in a full party (4-5 players). It's really easy to get full credit, but the majority of your party need to be at the mob before it's pulled so that you can add as much dps against the mob as possible.
Even if you happen to be the farthest away from the mob in your party, let's say you teleported late or something, but the rest of your party is there when it's pulled and has been dpsing it. As long as you arrive with enough time to land a hit, you will get full credit due to your party's overall dps, even though you personally were barely able to do anything before it died.
That's how it works.

Except iirc, they changed it to work based on enmity, to help all those helpful healers get some form of credit instead of having to DPS the whole fight.Hmm, not sure you understand how hunt credit works. Pretty ironic, don't you think?
Getting seals for doing nothing but wait in town while others spend hours scouting, just because you don't want to miss a single mark to get max. possible of seals asap? No wait, you're right. Damn selfish groups that kill the marks they were scouting for.
Except a lot of time the large groups have lots of people scouting every zone at once because they can co-ordinate like that.Pretty ironic, don't you think?

So what? Tough luck to them for not finding the mark first. Hell, not even tough luck. Sorry your 50 scouts are so totally incompetent they can't cover an A rank window before 2-8 people do so they need to reset-steal it and slander the people who did find it as 'selfish' and 'thieves' instead.

At the end of the day, OP, as does everyone on Excalibur, knew the group would be on their way.
That conscious decision to ignore the fact that those people would also be on their way and want Seals is what landed them in this situation. The end result eventually allowed more people to obtain Seals.
