    b) The person doesn't wait, pulls, and laughs at anyone who complains. End result being 4 people get seals and several people with bruised feelings and/or egos.

So explain to me what is so "comical" about finding the first situation preferrable?
Why is there no c) The person doesn't wait, pulls, and goes back to what he was doing before without needing to involve the rest of the zone in any way.

People aren't all seperated into nice guys and jerks, some people just want to do content with their friends without having to worry about what 50 strangers think.

This is a very entertaining thread to read while on break at work.

But that's the thing, that's how it was INTENDED to be done. You find it, you kill it. That's the entire friggen point of it. Being able to near limitlessly get Sands/Oils and to a degree Myth, has caused people to become obsessed with the system. So much that they make up rules and reasoning that go against what the system was meant to be and then try to enforce those as law.

Like someone said earlier, do you know why we have locked content in the first place? For open world such as this, you're seeing one of the very reasons it gets locked. People can't control themselves or make sane decisions.

Why does that even matter? You assume they intended for the zerg, while forgetting that not everyone thinks of everything right away. Doesn't mean they intended for it to happen. Having claimed mobs is even worse. The problem we have isn't the system itself, but the rewards. It will still be a boring zergfest until those are brought in line.

Rules? When did I talk about rules? I specifically said nobody should be FORCED to wait. I simply said I think people SHOULD do it and I personally consider it rude to pull a mob for you and only you when you could call, allow another party or two to come in, and have all three of you get full credit. Why is waiting a few minutes and letting a few other people get credit too a bad thing?

Have you ignored the thread? Many people DO do those things. Even if you don't, don't be oblivious to those who are.

You said it was common courtesy to wait for others. It stops being common courtesy when you could potentially lose your share because of it. It stops being common courtesy when the zerg that arrives doesn't return said "courtesy".

Except this has not ever happened for me on the few times I have accidentally run across a mark. Since I am not in a party I quickly ask for one and before I can get a reply, which I probably wouldn't since everyone is in pre-made parties, the mark is attacked. NO ONE waits for players who aren't in parties to group up so the mob that runs in pre-made parties does not show the common courtesy that you are asking for.

I understand Yoshi wants us to play together and group up but even of this worked as intended, if you happen to be the ninth player to a mob you are shit out of luck which is stupid.

lol, it IS their mark and their party is entitled to kill it. Expecting others that share and complaining when they choose not to, and yes it is a choice, is simply entitlement minded garbage.

So it's their choice when to pull the mark, but it's not my choice to object to their behavior even if I find it selfish?

But that's what you don't understand. People say that a full group, no matter how many people are there, can get full credit every time. And this is wrong. You have to do enough to get credit, and the more people that are there, the less chance any given person or group will get full credit. Many in fact only get partial. So it's selfish of them, according to you, to want to get their full credit because they found it instead of calling half the server which could easily mean they don't get full credit. Yes, half the server. Shouting to the zone will not prevent that.

    Get there faster.

Seriously, I've been against Hunt LS' from the start. They're creating idiotic rules and regulations which don't work. They try to help everyone, when their reality is they are helping no one. You see a Hunt, you claim it, you kill it. It's that simple. It doesn't make you a good person if you shout it or tell a big linkshell. Pull as soon as you see it. Let your LS know if you need help. Otherwise, just go for it. God forbid there is some actual competition in this game.
