As far as skill speed goes, I'd rather see it stay as just a reduction to the GCD on skills (just like spell speed for spells), but make it ALSO increase the rate of TP regen (and likewise make spell speed affect MP regen)

The reason I suggested an attack speed increase was to avoid possible itemization issues for jobs that make heavy use of skill speed (all of which auto attack for additional white damage). I thought about that too, but it isn't the best option because it would involve redoing the equipment of the monk and dragoon, whereas off-setting a drop in GC effectiveness with a white damage increase is more in line with preserving its original purpose.
