Um, no. They are asking not to be trapped in perpetual limbo with a constant flow of new players who each have to learn the fight from scratch while you are way ahead of them. And please cut the crap about getting a set group. Its old, and doesn't actually address the the fact that DF random groups are mostly useless for extreme fights.

My own opinion? They should never have allowed people to sign up for those fights with random groups of people while leaving the learning curve so shallow through the leveling experience. SE should have made the last ten levels a much steeper curve than what they currently are so that new players are at least accustomed to hard battles by the time they reach end game.

I agree that new players haven't had the time to develop the skill. I bumped into my worst nightmare in a garuda ex pug last night..

    No names :

Me - "Right, your having a lot of difficulty here what's up"
Person - "Not much, just haven't played this game long"
Me - "Oh alright, but you've grinded like crazy i'll bet!"
Person - "Nope, bought the game this week, hit level 50 and did hunts for a couple hours. Ilvl 90 now!"
    Me - "-facepalm-"

Welcome to the new generation of player, where everything is handed to you, you don't need to work much for that shiny stuff. I see the extremes as a skill gate now more than anything. If a player can get through them, AFTER gearing up quickly like this, THAT's the person I want to run stuff with. Develop the skill, don't make the fights easier.

I tend to agree to this. Now you can take 3 months off the game, going back, in a few you get on par with others - gear-wise until you tackle the Coils.

At the same time, for a new player that is excited about the game, it would be bad to give the advantage to older players that spent their souls grinding, playing, trying to master their skills from their job and dodge skills from 'the LAG' lol

So yeah, I admit content is getting burned in a 3-months timeframe pretty much, and that's.. too fast for me.

Guess we'll have some that are pleased with it.

Can't have it all they say.

Soon, Allied will give iLvl110 gear, so please look forward to it!

Develop the skill, don't make the fights easier.

content is being burned fast, and is a shame, BUT equally those that are taking their time are being insulted, demeaned and the like BECAUSE the game is so easy to level and so easy to this and that and you have been playing a long time so you should know...see what I mean ?

some are taking their time, learning slow pace, at imes by choice, at times because RL doesnt allow to play much, and yet are insulted that they are bad because well they have been playing solong and still dont know, altough the long is in fact short, and on the other hand, those same people complain that players are reaching fast the end and know nothing.

Really make up your mind guys

And people on the other side of the coin are ALSO being insulted. Popular terms like "no lifer" and the like. Stop making this into a one sided argument to try and make yourself look like your view is the only right one. The problem with the rest of your post is that you seem to expect that the game has to hand hold you through everything. Funny thing about that is the class quests and such, actually DO teach you quite a bit. The Gladiator ones come to mind as doing it very well too. But people don't want to read them, they just want to rush through them. This isn't the game's fault. It's the player's fault. Many people get through to 50 in less than a week and play WELL. Because they TRY to.

you are saying the same exact thing.
people level up and gear up so fast, and it's a shame.
they arrive at end game content so fast and so easily, that when they get to coils/extremes, they can't do sh*t because they find the first thing that needs some thinking or learning.

I did put forth the two options..first those that complain about those that go slow that they should know already since is so easy to level and that they have been playing for so long and on the other side you have those that complain that players go too fast and they know nothing..

It either goes too fast or too slow..but you cant blame those that go slow insulting thme because they go slow and actually learn the game and at the same time complain that other player learn too fast and know nothing about their class...

this is what I said in my post, maybe I wasnt clear....I hope this clarifies eh?

make your mind is either you want slow people and accept tehy still learn thus not perfect or you want fast people that reach end game fast but know nothing...BUT neither categories require insulting..

Regardless of whether people are "taking it slow" or being a "no lifer," neither type of player should be insulted for what they are. Inherently there is nothing wrong with playing casually, and not putting as much effort into perfecting the mechanics in end game raids. Players should allowed to be able to play how they want, without scrutiny.

The entire point of this topic was whether current end game content was too difficult. My argument is that the content is NOT too difficult if you put in the effort towards working to clear. They do not need to make this game easier. If you are a casual player with not much time to play, or do not wish to put in the effort in perfecting your class or the fight mechanics, then end game raids are not for you, and you should not be calling for any nerfs to these fights.

    it's a multiplayer game.
there will always be complaining, or insulting.
I dunno if a MMORPG full of rainbows and happiness really exist.

still, I think that whatever speed of learning you have, the game gives you plenty of time to learn how to play your class, before entering endgame contents.
unless you get your class to lv 50 and have ilv100gear in one week.

Unless you have bad healers, Echo doesn't really matter if don't know the mechanics of the fight. T5 and TitanEx are both examples of fights where not knowing the mechanics at any point will (and should) lead to your losing. It's that simple. You said it yourself in this thread, that DF has a lot of new players for fights. Well that's exactly why you don't see as much success in DF: you're playing with random people who may or may not be new nor know the mechanics of a fight. Echo isn't nearly as good as you make it out to be. It'll help you survive some AoE, but if you can't dodge divebombs or landslides, you should lose.
