Coil is actually considered optional as well. All the optional content does have story to it, even EX primals do. But it's not required to clear them in the slightest except for more content of the same. And to a degree even that was lessened.

They could remove Landslide and Weight of the Land from Titan Ex and people could beat it, but how is that going to prepare them for the challenges that lie ahead?
Anyone who hasn't cleared the first 5 turns of coil or the original 3 EX primals at this point is not interested or capable of completing them as originally intended. The only reason they haven't been nerfed further is because the equipment is still technically useful. By 2.4 none of that content will offer useable equipment so it should be nerfed to the point that no effort is required.
No just no, people need to know their own limitations.Anyone who hasn't cleared the first 5 turns of coil or the original 3 EX primals at this point is not interested or capable of completing them as originally intended. If you cannot do it then you don't deserve the win period.
Simply, not everyone should get a trophy just for showing up.
It's going to happen whether you like it or not. You should probably stop caring that other players might have fun clearing old content that no one else cares about anymore.

I think the gear is already obsolete. I say nerf the hell out of it and let casuals have fun in SCOB. If anyone thats cleared it already thinks that is going to ruin the game for them, they are just selfish. I don't need to have others struggling with content so my sense of "virtual self worth" remains high. Then again, i'm not the type to care what others think anyhow.Anyone who hasn't cleared the first 5 turns of coil or the original 3 EX primals at this point is not interested or capable of completing them as originally intended. 1) People who haven't cleared it by this point - No. Some, like myself, have just beaten titan ex, after a month of grinding it and learning it, and developing a good party. Have just started T5 with said group, we'll get it done.Anyone who hasn't cleared the first 5 turns of coil or the original 3 EX primals at this point is not interested or capable of completing them as originally intended. 2) 2.4 none of that content will offer useable - You're really forgetting the fact that at patches, we see a big increase of new players, they are going to be going through it again.
3) Nerf to the point no effort is required - Hell no. People have had enough hand holding done recently. Where's the achievement in it. I personally remove any echo buffs possible when i fight this stuff.

And what if their limitation is that they can't get into a static? There's a reason why Thornmarch and Whoerleater were unlocked in the latest patch. Food for thought.

While I didnt exactly get my first titan ex clear with df or pf, I started getting friend requests when I started joining PFs more often (been slamming my head at df just to get a glimpse of post heart super bombs so I can join pfs more confidently). When I get online, I'd get tells asking me if I wanted to try titan ex again. I started adding people too. Over a couple days, I had 4-5 people that I can trust to do well in titan ex. Had I kept at it, I would have built a small network of people to keep pushing titan ex with and gotten a win with them, but I got my win through an FC that I joined not long after. I dont think that would have taken too long, 1-2 weeks maybe? I'm sure lots more people have been at it for far longer. This was in the 1st month of 2.2 where the echo was 25% btw, I had latency issues that I couldn't manage until I got a new vpn post 2.2 so I didnt bother trying titan ex after the 1st week of 2.1. Went from random 280-380 to stable-ish 280.
On the other hand, I just finished a titan hm trial not 15 minutes ago. I accidentally joined in progress at 10% echo. We took it to 50%. Both healers were above i80 with relics. One is even near i100, I'd wager. They both simply couldnt live post heart. It was after 50% echo that the 1 overgeared healer was able to live through all the attacks because there arent enough people around (4-5 dead) to have that many wotls that now only deal like 1/3 max hp to the lowest hp player and he kept being targetted by gaols so he didnt have to dodge slides. It was hilarious and depressing at the same time.
Then their limitation is a social one or a RL limitation and my first question would be, what are you willing to do to overcome it?
Too shy? Maybe start chatting to people, might find a great FC or meet some like minded people you can work together with.
Is it RL limiting play time? Maybe you need to figure out just how much you want your win and make it work.
