Please re-evaluate the difficulty of previous endgame content on the DF

Many of the older endgame encounters on DF (Extremes, Turn5) are arguably too difficult for successful completion even with the full echo buff. A majority of DF parties I've been in have not succeeded even when making earnest attempts till the time has run out. The game, as a DF player, flirts a bit too much with being "not worth it" the way it is now.

I'd like to think the Duty Finder is not just a tool for getting practice, but a way to experience the game's content in a more casual way without all the politics that come with Free Companies.

A way to extend DF time would also be nice. So many times a DF group hammers out all the mechanics just to run out of time.

The problem is a lot of people on DF are working for no reward. Spending 50-70 minutes and not succeeding in anything but training new players. I'm not asking for handouts or free clears.

Except that's exactly what DF is for with difficult content.
By asking for old fights to be toned down/made easier, you are literally asking for free/easy clears. Which is a handout.
You are saying "I want what everyone else has but I don't want to put the effort in that everyone else did."

Japanese players would like to have a word with you. All DF content is easily cleared in DF, it's the players themselves that make it difficult.

Fair enough, but for NA the general perception is that DF is for practice, and if you want to farm use PF for that.

Um, no. They are asking not to be trapped in perpetual limbo with a constant flow of new players who each have to learn the fight from scratch while you are way ahead of them. And please cut the crap about getting a set group. Its old, and doesn't actually address the the fact that DF random groups are mostly useless for extreme fights.

My own opinion? They should never have allowed people to sign up for those fights with random groups of people while leaving the learning curve so shallow through the leveling experience. SE should have made the last ten levels a much steeper curve than what they currently are so that new players are at least accustomed to hard battles by the time they reach end game.

Actually, the problem is the lockout system for the tiers. Right now the current content is T6-T9, but they are locking people out of those turns unless they've completed T5, which is still quite a feet to get through even with an echo buff. Also, like a lot of themeparks raiding often means keeping up with the demographic interested in it or losing out on seeing the content through. World of Warcraft managed to solve the problem with raid finder (probably a bit too well given what happened to a lot of guilds) and cutting back the mechanics enough so that the second wave of people could clear the content.

Final Fantasy XIV ARRs problem is we got the wave of raiders already past T5 and while it is possible to get some charity from more experienced players, the chances of anyone catching up to the late wave of players is pretty slim. It's not even about gear as much as experience and learning mechanics.

Also, unless someone can come up with a good reason why people MUST know T5 mechanics to do T6 mechanics, the entire lockout system is borked.

if you can't complete T5 easied up like this you can't hope to beat T6 then you'll start whine since T6 is too difficult bla bla bla

Have to agree here, If you can't beat t5, why would you even want to move on to higher turns? t5 is not difficult, honestly if you can't beat it then you have every right to not have access to t6+, the raids in this game are not difficult one bit but everyone and their mother is crying for nerfs and buffs and echo etc
